I usually kill them by knocking them away multiple times or having a good DPS wand.Usually they get me if I can't retreat out of the Fungal caverns while piddling at them slowly. The terminator bots are more manageable since they tend to fall below and I can ignore them. Also I find the mage bolts easier to dodge.
