you are backing up videogames, right anon?
>>
>>719590698
I honestly have no idea how.

There's so many options now I just get overwhelmed.
>ssd
>micro sd
>nvme ssd
>external HDD
>external nvme ssd
>external ssd
>3.5 inch drives with lots of storage

I just don't know anon. I plan on getting a 12TB external and just saving everything on that.
>>
No...? Why would I hoard all this shit when you're doing it for me? And when someone asks for it, you're gonna put out for your five minutes of clout even though you'll say right now you won't.
>>
>>719590698
Way ahead of you. 50tb of fitgirl and gog repacks.
Another few tb of heavily compressed tv and movies, roughly a tb of 240p/144p youtube videos from a decade+ back.

>putting your HDDs in the fridge
I seriously hope your guys don't do this.

I really ought to get a new ssd for my os, and a replacement for my general storage hard drive. They're the same ones from the first pc that I built in 2014. I haven't had any issues yet, any anons who had hard drive failure care to share any early warning signs?

I have close to 20tb of games between installed/isos/roms but I really need to get another big hdd, I'm running out of space
>>
>>719590698
I guess I could back up my steam games and hope there's ways to bypass the built in DRM. First I'd need a 12TB hard drive and a week of spare time though.

>he doesn't know

Goldberg for anything without extra drm

dont spoonfeed the newniggers

Steam DRM is so easily removed, it might as well be called GOG2.

These things aren't built for long term storage. HDD's aren't perfect either but are way better for storing files for a really long time.
>>
>>719590892
No one who hoards shit ever shares it
>>

stuff exists to Man-in-the-middle steam requests from games, 99% of them are not really locked down they just try to auth with steam for achievements and whatever else.
>>
>>719590863
>3.5 inch drives with lots of storage
This is the right option.
>>
I don't know if there's any point but I save some
If the world ends I won't be able to play anyway
>>
>>719590698
Every video game I care about is already backed up on the internet why would I waste time doing it again.
>>
no, it's too much work and i don't care
>>
>>719598886
>5-7 years shelf life
lol, you wanna ride out the apocalypse with your backlog you're going to wanna put everything on 25gb M-Disc,
or less annoyingly some 12tb magnetic drives.
anything else will perish within your lifetime.
>>
>>719590698
i dont have to, youll do it for me bitchboy. and youll upload it when i ask
>>

nobody tell them lol
>>

If the entire internet is down you got more problems than video games.
