I bought a bunch of Sega-style controllers recently. I think it's important, if you're also an autistic person who will buy a controller specifically for 2D games like shmups and fighters, for you to know that both the 8bitdo M30 and the Retro-Bit Sega Saturn controllers fucking suck. They suck fucking dick. People say good things about them but they're wrong. They fucking suck. The 8bitdo has almost no pivot and the Retro-Bit Saturn is mushy as shit.
The ONLY good one is the Retro-Bit Sega Genesis controller. It's genuinely excellent. The GENESIS one, NOT the Saturn. Both the wireless and wired versions are fine (but make sure it's the 8-button version if you want shoulder buttons). No one talks about it, but it's basically perfect in every way. The dpad has a nice tactile feeling while also rolling easily. No chance of misinputs. It also has shoulder buttons so there's literally no reason to not get it over their terrible Saturn controller. GET THE GENESIS CONTROLLER, THIS IS YOUR WARNING.

I'm going to shit on this company endlessly if the TT d-pad isn't the same internally. I love my Elves 2 (non-Pro) but I don't trust chinks to not bait and switch.

I bought the m30 a while ago and didn't notice anything wrong with it, but that might be because the only thing I have to compare it to are the dualshock 4/5 and Xbox 360 dpads which suck ass
I just use it for playing beat em ups on mame and Genesis games, I like the way it feels

I saw this on Amazon earlier and thought it looked nice, probably a better deal than the Switch pro controller, I might pick it up later. The tendie layout for a Sega style controller is bizarre though.

I've seen some videos and I could guess the M30 dpad doesn't feel good, it looked too "soft", that said it's the white one is the most beautiful controller I've ever seen so I'll end up getting one anyway
