>you need to create your own custom control schemes for pretty much every game to make them playable >4 hour battery life>$400 plus tip

>>719607172I love my steamdeck
>>719607172I still use a modded vita. The psp has such a large library. Gonna replay fft instead of spending 50 dollars on the remaster.
>>719607172It does not have a 4 hour battery, it's 3 hours at most and only when playing something not demanding.Custom controls are near though, I really like how easy it is to set up exactly what you want.
>>719607451im rogging my gogging rn
>>719609623Honestly I need to get around to dumping my PSP games off my vita.I ended up holding off since KH:BBS got onto steam finally and I never got around to dumping them.Really should too, I'm pretty sure I only have Crash Team Racing on my Vita but I'm sure I gotta find something to convert it from an eboot to slap into retroarch
>>719610594kingdom hearts has to be the gayest game ever desu
>>719610649I can live with that, game's fun.
>>719607172>you need to create your own custom control schemes for pretty much every game to make them playableHow it costimization a bad thing?
>>719607172>you need to create your own custom control schemes for pretty much every game to make them playable Nothing personnel, kid
As someone who can ONLY play handheld vidya (wife, 3 babbys) how does this compare to the switch? I'm looking to upgrade to the switch 2 for xmas but maybe my money is better spent on the deck? Is it worth missing out on prime 4, kirby, etc?
>>719607172>you need to create your own custom control schemes for pretty much every game to make them playableThat's the fun part
>>719610887If you get a Steam Deck you basically have every game on pc going back from 2020 and emulation up to 6th gen with some 7th gen.If you get a switch 2, you're getting switch 2 games.Me personally I'd pick the Steam Deck, but I guess it really depends on how much you specifically want prime 4 over basically every other single player shooter there's ben drowned.
>>719610887>Is it worth missing out on prime 4, kirby, etc?Hell no, don't buy deck until deck 2 is out. Buy switch 2, then whenever deck 2 is out (next year, or 2027), then you buy deck 2. This is the winning move anon
>>719610887BLEEP BLOOP ITS A ME MARIOO BEEP BOOPiiiit's a meee kirbyyy
>>719610887Isn't Prime 4 on the Switch anyway? What it comes down to is Mario Kart, Donkey Kong and Kirby vs every PC game plus emulators. I think the Switch 2 will eventually have worthwhile exclusives, but right now it's a no-brainer.
>>719610887I can't recommend a deck after buying one, not sure about the switch 2, but I think you should wait in case another pc handheld hits the market and its good enough
>>719611198>but right now it's a no-brainerexactly. Deck 2 is not out yet, there's no reason to buy Deck 1 when Deck 2 is on the horizon. Yes it's couple of months away, but it's still on the horizon. That's why he should buy switch 2 now, and then buy deck 2 later. Win-win, no?
ok build your own handheld then. there are countless kits that are twice as powerful as the steamdeck with double the battery life, all while supporting steamOS and cost half as much in parts. you just need to assemble them obviously.
>>719607172Get fucked, it's the best PC handheld, can't wait for the Steam Deck 2 even if it's early 2028.
>>719607172Only game I had to do that for was Psychonauts, other than that every other game has worked out of the box
uh oh, valvenigger melty
>you need to create your own custom control schemes for pretty much every game to make them playableWhat? Even throwing Ryujinx shortcut into my library works out of the box
