The health management is no different from Neurotrauma mod from Barotrauma. If anything, simplifying the health management so 80iq niggers can pass the filter would just worsen the game. There are actual issues, like the retarded durability usage on everything, and no visibility, and awful terrain generation requiring constant digging to get anywhere, but the health management is not.

Non-container wearables last easily 3+ hours, and durability exists to incentivize both more careful approach to gameplay by not wasting your tools for no reason and to make the game more dynamic long-term by creating a long-lasting crisis you also have to work around. There are good, high capacity and long lasting containers that come with huge weight penalties and solidify the packrat playstyle if you're lootgoblining so much.
Removing durability would just remove any incentive to move down at all.

Getting and managing light sources is a skill. There's a way to consistently get a lightbulb on start of every run, which then can be upgraded into a flashlight that lights up the entire section in front of you to the edge of the screen. I never struggle with visibility anymore.

Game is slow-paced, but not that slow-paced. I rarely encounter situations when I need to dig more than ~20 tiles per dig, and paired with the fact that you can always speed up time for resting and while digging - it's never an issue pacing-wise. If you think you are forced to dig around the traps, you aren't. There are many ways to both quickly disable common traps, and to also minimize the amount of time clawing your time through rock if you have to.

The only actual design issue i can think of is a specific trap type that's both difficult to spot, has huge range and there are very few ways to mitigate it's effects, although some might argue that it requires a more high level navigational strategy to (like avoiding large, open drops and sticking to the walls) in order to avoid it. I am not quite sure about this, but i did notice that not taking paths through open areas did led me to spotting them more often safely, however it can still result in absolutely bullshit deaths like webm.

To deal with soundcannons you:
Stop. They only begin charging once you cross it's line of sight.
Listen. Understand the general direction of where the sound is.
Duck and cover. Once you realize the rough location of the turret, do everything you can to put a wall between you and it. Ragdoll, dig into a hole, jump down - anything. Taking a risk of fall damage is often less severe than getting hit with a SC, especially if you don't have any way to stop internal bleeding.
