This had potential man. They were trying something new. They just needed one more game to flesh things out. They just needed a chance.
What was so potential about it?
>>719610961>selling the ending as DLC that was never even released for PC
>>719610961I liked it a lot. But I could see why PoP fans hated it. >>719613007Focus on platforming and boss fights was cool. No filler, all killer. Nice art style. It was a solid foundation for a killer sequel, like AC to AC2. But Ubi dropped it hard.
>what if prince of persia returned to its platformer roots>but it's calarts-looking roguelitethanks, money paw

>>719613105>Focus on platforming and boss fights was cool. No filler, all killer.Arguably exploration aspect, atleast the aspect of figuring out how to progress through a level is gone.Im debating trying out the 2010 game, because it has cool powers with freezing water, thats always the direction I thought the series should go, expand on the time powers enviromental interaction with the enviroment to add greater depth to platforming both in using them smartly, almost like mini zelda puzzles, but instead platforming puzzles. And mechanically in the sense that having to induce another button input in the knick of time adds some basic complexity, depending on how well the level design accomodates. The PoP metroidvania got really really close to this, but youd be astonished how few actual straight platforming levels there are that take advantage of that. The ratio of platforming to combat (let alone GOOD platforming) is like 80:20And for good platforming vs combat? Its like 95:5 because its all relegated to trials. I did all of them except the combat ones.
