Kenshi has a lot of shit going on and runs like shit even when it looks like a PS2 game, UE5 runs like shit by default, and so I worry they would have to dial back the scale rather than expand it, just to make it look better. Its not worth it, I would take PS2 graphics again if it means making a bigger game.My favourite playthroughs involve turning up squad sizes to max and playing a pseudo RTS, the game allows this, I dread to think that the sequel would not and is made only for smaller groups so as to account for the shitty performance, like they get rid of the insane draw distances you can set which makes the game feel like things are happening when youre not around just so the game doesnt constantly chug.
