>>719621017the truth of the matter is that kojima has been riding the high of MGS2 for the majority of his career. people think his work has a lot more mystique than it does ever since mgs2 came out. people will frequently talk about "muh simulation" and ignore all the fantastical elements and pretend that is just part of an inaccurate telling of the reality of the events or something. really, kojima just makes silly anime games. i say all this while loving everything that kojima has put out, but people really do think way higher of his games because of mgs2 and nothing else and they also ignore the TRULY frightening accuracies of mgs2 while focusing on the AI speech which is just a mishmash hodge podge of different, more articulate scholars of the latter half of the 20th century.
