Modern shooters allowing over 90 fov are niggerlicious.
FOV should never be greater than 90.

Fisheye can be fixed with Panini Projection.
What is best about low fov is that it enables players to be sneaky. You can move around enemies knowing they likely didnt see you in their peripheral vision. If you rocket jump over enemies, its not guaranteed they will spot you either. With FOV, alot of these strategies are just watered down because everyone will see everything.

for classic shooters anything more than 90 fov will probably make it harder to aim
but if you are playing one of those unorthodox "shooters" where you play as a fast melee type character which doesn't take much aim higher fov will be better so you don't lose your opponent in your vision while you and they are constantly dancing back and forth between your blind spot

Based and true for 4:3 screens.
For 16:9 screens it should be 106.2602047 degrees though because less than that loses some vertical view which is ultra low iq tech illiterate subhuman monkey nigger tier
