Besides Disco Elysium, are there any modern western games with good writing?
Only ones I can think of are Alexis Kennedy games (Sunless Sea, Cultist Simulator etc)

I was doing a reread of Hajime no Ippo and went with the newer digital translation and it has serious characters calling things like "weak sauce" and Ippo saying he's "going to rock this thing" when he gets his boxing license. Everyone starts or ends every sentence with "dude".
