only 3 weeks until the dragon's dogma 2 DLC reveal at TGS bros
>>719623073Did you not see the schedule? Its not there, man.
>>719623073Cope
>>719623073Let it go bro... It's over...
>>719623073Game is an absolute blast as it is bro, it needs no dlc.
>>719623343but imagine the the levels of blasting you'll have with dlc
>>719623343I would love an everfall anyway.
There WILL be a dlc for the Big D at TGS... Dynasty Warriors: Origins
>>719623073I'm watching and monitoring Asmongold 24/7 now. You may think it's retarded, but he's actually a professional guerilla marketer. He mentions certain products out of the blue because he's paid to promote them. So if in the near future you hear the slightest peep of DD2 related stuff coming out of his yapper, you know an expansion is going to get announced relatively soon.and inb4>why asmonHe's in deep business relation with capcom and was put into DD2 as a special character.
>>719623343It needs content, the base is solid, more monsters, more vocations, and a proper endgame and you would have an excellent game
>>719623404>imagine if DD2 had enemy variety>imagine if DD2 had good rewards for exploration>imagine if DD2 had a dynamic world spawn system>imagine if DD2 had more vocations>imagine if DD2 had more skills per vocation>imagine if DD2 had more than 4 equipable skills>imagine if DD2 had a hardmode & NG+ changes>imagine if DD2 had more proper dungeons>imagine if DD2 had a replayable end-game>imagine if DD2 had a DLC to fix all these flawsWe shouldn't need to "imagine", but it seems like capcom really have binned the game.
>>719623073Let go.
>>719625329Nearly brilliant, and that's the most frustrating part.
>>719623073
>no loli pawns Don't care
>>719623073You know what you need to do OP..
>>719626729You don't just tell a nigga to Godsbane anon. That's in poor taste.
>>719625601this
>>719625476Can modders fix it?
>>719628006Could, but many have abandoned DD2 because it's just not fun. I was making an advanced enemy movesets mod but lost steam on it. Even with more engaging enemy AI, the core loop of DD2 just isn't as fun as DD1, think it lost something in becoming even more open world. DD1 has a very streamlined feel to it, makes a single playthrough feel like a nice little package. DD2 feels like a slog until it's suddenly a sprint to the finish line
>>719628006modders can only do so much with the RE engine, and the scene has already largely dried up due to nobody playing the game. Though there's a still a small handful of autist modders trying to do the needful, thankfully.More importantly, modders shouldn't have to fix *any* of those points. Every single one of them should've been in the vanilla game upon release, done by the devs themselves. There's no excuses for how bare bones DD2 is when they charged 70 for it.
>>719628357The amount you can do with RE Engine thanks to REF is actually pretty far above most games (that don't have official tools, and in some cases even better than those), it just has a really steep learning curve to do absolutely anything with. Where it falls down is being able to actually make brand new things, the way that object creation works in RE Engine leads to a lot of references being made which can't be replicated reliably with lua interacting with reflected methods.
