it's actually a nice controller with simple software

the swappable sticks are stupid though
Why not just change the sensors?

My Xbox One controller's charge port broke after three years of use. My Xbox Series controller got a sticky trigger due to cushion degradation and then right stick drift. A really severe one at that, just after two years of intermittent use. Fuck Microsoft, I'll stick to third party controllers now (oh, yeah, the Switch Pro Controller also got right stick drift. I'm dreading the time when it happens to the DualShock 5 too)

>I'm dreading the time when it happens to the DualShock 5 too
It took 6 months to get stick drift on mine (I played MGR with it).
Real pieces of shit.

i have this one and the usb adapter already broke.
bluetooth works well enough.

i'd like to buy a new one that has backpaddles but i honestly don't game enough on controller to do so, i have a steam controller and a deck anyway so it's hard to justify buying something new

To be honest it's quite expensive.
70bucks for membrane is a bit too much.
Good thing the sticks are TMR.

the sensors are touching the stick. it would be much harder to change and you'd only gain the cost of a little bit of plastic and tubber.

I was considering getting a new 8bitdo Ultimate wireless 2 for use with my steam deck because I want functional back buttons. I current have a vader pro 4 and the first 8bitdo ultimate wireless. It literally took me until today to find out how to put them into Dinput in order make their back buttons functional, rendering the ultimate 2 moot.

Anyone know a controller that works with a ps3 with button sensitivity or know if theres a way to buy parts for a ps3ds3 controller

is the gulikit elves 2 the only budget option for low latency, dpad-centric wireless gaymen? was gonna pick up an 8bitdo pro 2 but the average latency is crazy high
>>
>>719633009
I'm talking about issues, not the lack of extra features.
>>
>>719632550
AliExpress has cheap DS3 (and other first party controller) replacement parts. Retrofighters Defender is the only modern controller with pressure sensitive buttons that I know of.

It feels like cheap plastic but it doesn't feel fragile. The buttons, dpad, and sticks feel kind of loose and don't take much force to press or move.
There's something so comfortable about using it, like it just works and doesn't take you out of the game.

Doesn't everything lack this because Sony is a bunch of likes
Can you name one controller that comes even close to this with DS4 mode
>>
>>719633487
based on gamepadla's testing, yeah, i've either got to go with the elves 2 (which has cramped thumbstick placement for the occasions i do need to use them), or i can wait for the tt pro. surprised there are so few options, but fuck us retro gaymers i guess.

I want something that feels and acts like a ps5 controller but with TMR sticks, does such a device exist?

>>

This is the cheapest controller available, the more expensive ones probably don't feel like that
>>
>>719634538

I can name a lot more than one.

>dinput rather than dualshock, but every other Flydigi
>BigBig Won Blitz 2
>Fantech Nova Pro (no 2.4ghz)
>IINE Bastet (no 2.4ghz)
Nova 2 Lite's the same price as ES Pro, but without gyro. Cyclone 2's discounted to $25-35 pretty often.

>>719634538
Quite literally a PS5 controller with TMR sticks modded in. You don't get the touchpad, haptics, adaptive triggers, or form factor with anything else.
>>
>>719634741
The Ultimate 2C is just as cheap and mine still feels like new after having it for 9 months. It doesn't have the trigger stop toggles or the back pedals of the Nova 2 Lite though.
>>
Switch 2 Pro Controller (with better diagonals) would be perfect
>>
>>719635449
>no analog triggers
>>
>>719634154

yeah that's exactly it. normally I'd expect some stiffness at the start and a "break in" period but this feels already familiar.

How legit is this gamepadla site?

This is sorting by bluetooth latency. And the Gulikit Elves 2 seems to be the best. And it's a 30$ controller.
>>
This is the LAST TIME I'm asking for a controller that doesn't have the Xbox logo... Does one exist!?
>>
>>719636512
P82 latency results are accurate for use on the systems the tests are performed on (mostly/entirely Win10/11 PCs), which the site mostly filters for with search and displayed results
GPDL latency results add something like 1.6ms latency and are mostly accurate for buttons but unreliable for sticks
Stick latency measures time taken to move from 0% to 99%, data for lesser movements isn't shown anywhere on the site but many controllers with high measured stick latency are responsive for partial movements

For non-latency info, stick data should be accurate, stick movement linearity is a crap shoot depending on how the test is done and I only confidently trust monoru's results since he has a custom rig for reliably measuring, specifications often have a bunch of incorrect info and you're better off looking at the manufacturer's site or an amazon/aliexpress page.
>>
>>719637787
Is there a better and more accurate site to get data from if gamepadla is questionable?

>pecifications often have a bunch of incorrect info and you're better off looking at the manufacturer's site or an amazon/aliexpress page.
Wouldn't the sellers have incentive to lie to say their controllers are better?

Made by a Ukranian.
>>
>>719638046
There's https://rpubs.com/misteraddons/inputlatency as well, but it's not terribly up to date with modern releases, and most people aren't playing on a MiSTer.

Specifications section just lists things like whether the controller has membrane or mechanical buttons, gyro, trigger stops, back buttons, etc, the sort of info marketing's accurate for. Most times I've checked gamepadla for that info it's been outright wrong, probably at least partly because that info's crowdsourced there.
>>
>>719638758
>Specifications section just lists things like whether the controller has membrane or mechanical buttons
Oh, I see what you're saying. I was specifically more talking about just latency stuff. I misread what you were saying.

As long as the latency testing is mostly correct that's all I care about.
