Why aren't elephants a more popular creature to base a humanoid race off of in videogames?
>Prehensile trunk acts as a 3rd arm
>Large and sturdy like a tank
>Tough skin
>Tusks for stabbing

Does it have to do with some cultural thing? Or were people afraid to give them fingers or something.
>>
i think people find them unappealing because they're fat

That or animate the trunk. Might be why boars are most popular
>>

because they’re often associated with two of the smallest vidya markets on earth (india and sub saharan africa)
elephants are cool though, they seem like they would make good light magic users

It's pajeet-pandering design

this looks great, and plays into the cyclop skull mythos
>>
Problem is their hands we all known how not suitable to handle objects elephants hands are and just giving them human fingers is not realistic

Takes skill to design and animate something like an elephant with their big ears and unusual trunks. Californians literally can’t do it.
>>
Why doesn't The Elder Scrolls or World of Warcraft have a playable elephant race already

the elephants ok toh righ

A lot of normgroids are weirded out by elephants for some reason and thus a game heavily featuring them would not sell.

>A lot of normgroids are weirded out by elephants for some reason
why
>>
>>719634041
Probably because they are weird creatures with a prehensile nose and are more intelligent than them.

he's just sleeping, it's fine

>>719624957
Asking a dev to model anything more than a human with pointy ears or purple skin is a huge ask nowadays. Even dwarves are becoming unplayable now.

for the elephants sake I hope not though they are certainly extremely intelligent creatures because they show it time and time again

I meant that the elephants are more intelligent.

I know, that's why its more sad.
I've seen some of them crush their overlords in their captivity.
them being that smart would make it much mroe depressing
