What's the best CRT tv for specifically N64 and or SNES gamesd?,
>>719625861The one you have
The largest BVM trinitron you can find.If money is a concern, you can move down to a PVM trinitron. If you're still too poor, a large consumer trinitron, ideally 4:3, and without component video inputs which are typical of "HD" sets that add input latency. If you're stupid, you get something that isn't a trinitron.
>>719625861Used to play n64 on one of these old fuck ass tv through composite when i was a kid until my parents got rid of it.I swear n64 has never looked as good since, no matter what crt.
>>719625861A good consumer set with S-Video and component, or if you're in Europe RGB SCART. I suggest getting something from the 2000s for longevity, don't get a small one, 14" is definitely too small, 19" is the bare minimum and 24" is ideal, 32" is great but they are really big and heavy and you can't expect everyone to have the space for one in their setup. Flat screens are controversial but they're honestly more comfortable, the curve always annoyed me and makes you want to use it less while a flat screen CRT of decent size can become your main display for vidya for months. Avoid PVMs, they're a meme, the boost in quality from a decent Trinitron or a good Sharp TV is not worth the price tag unless you're really autistic about scanlines and want to play arcade games on the Neo Geo. Most of them are also very old and have alot of operating hours because they were often used intensively so be prepared to service them at some point.
>falling for the crt meme
>>719626880this so much
>>719625861PVM/BVM is fake soul.No one played games on those back in the day.Find a high end Sony Trinitron.
>>719625861But who was game?
>>719625861Any crt will do. Commercial trinitrons are the best, but generally it's tough to find a crt working without at least some image problem.Pvm are a meme and too expensive.Don't buy anything that costs more than 30€./thread that's all you need to know.
HD CRTs are awesome but those are rare and expensive

>>719625861for N64 you want something with s-video and for snes something with component or scart. I wouldn’t worry that much about the brand as long as it’s not a bottom of the barrel model. If you want a high end consumer set try to find a jvc, Sony, Philips or B&O. Pvm’s are cool but the price is just not worth the money, especially for n64 which benefits a bit from the blurring on more basic sets.
>>719626143today i just use a small cuck RCA CRT with a shitload of overscan. It sucks but it does the trick if i want to play my older consoles
>>719627649this

>>719625861Any modern TV you want + CRT shaders on your emulation software. No need to waste money.
>Has money to buy an aftermarket Sony PVM for probably four figures>Doesn't have money for a decent camerawhy does this happen so often
>>719625861Crt is good at 27-32 inch
>>719630840It is like /vp/ when the leaks come inThey have to be blurry and taken with a shit camera, despite most people (who aren't extremelly poor and tus wouldn't be near such leaks) having at least 12 mega pixel cameras, lmao
>>719630840I paid 20 bucks for my PVM. I'm sorry you had to wait for youtubers to tell you to buy one.
>>719631142You forgot a zero
>>719625861My friend schlepped a Trinitron just like that from work and plugged in MM to show me just like OP. It looked like shit. No different than just plugging the bitch into his 10 year old Samsung HDTV
>>719631218My bad, it was actually 30 bucks.
>>719627809My friend had a HDCRT Samsung and Xbox looked like liquid sex on it. Republic Commando looked like Gears of War I'll probably make it my life goal tracking down that son of a bitch
