i wanna get into this genre. i have nuclear throne and enter the gungeon on my wishlist. are these the best and any other recs?

NT blows gungeon out of the water by a fucking landslide.
The gunplay just feels better and the enemies aren't unthreatening bullet sponges.

Teleglitch if you want more tense, lethal encounters.
Hades just because everyone and their dogs has played it.
Synthetic is a game of trying to outscale enemies before they outscale you.
Brigador if you're in the mood for more objective-based approach to completing a level.

You'll be hard pressed to find arcade-action twinstick shooters that have the same feel. Its not the first nor is it the last, but many here who played it during its development cycle 10 years ago regard it as one of the greatest that hadn't been surpassed. Though I imagine there may be some quality ones that have slipped past most peoples radars, there is no way anyone can keep tabs on all vidya ever.
To bring gungeon comparison, its way more methodical and slower paced, which is antithetical to what adrenaline chasers want. But depending on what (you) personally like it may resonate more.
