Why it worked?
>>
>>719633210
for me it was putting it sideway

God didn't want you wasting time on games but the devil did

This is ps1 right?
I had one when I was a kid, but never turned it upside down. What did this accomplish?
>>

Different mechanical pressures on the laser assembly.
>>

it just did, just like putting the CDs on the freezer for a day or cleaning them with toothpaste

To make a long story short, becausr Sony are complete fucking g retards they made the entire thing out of plastic. The heat generated from the moving parts warped the plastic which would fuck up the laser and the rails it was on.
Flipping it over basically realigned that.

Prevented cats stepping on the power or reset buttons

The lens reader moves up and down and eventually it gets stuck or worn out. Flipping it upside down let's gravity do its job.

My method was to lay a heavy book across the lid, but it probably accomplished the same thing. No what the issue was and why that solved it though.

Pedro, you must learn English
>>
Psx was shitty poor quality, nintendo wins, FUCK SONY

It was easier to screw up a N64 cartridge reader from dust or humidity.
>>
Grew up with a PS2 and had to replace the laser like once a year, I played so much lol
>>

How do you know it’s a pedro and not a jeet?
>>

this. slightly different angles at play, that one particularly scratched part of the disk can just barely be read now, all is good.
as a kid i basically had a master's degree in getting NES carts seated just right so they'd work. i never liked how little fiddling around you could do with discs.

jeets didn't experience retro gaming
>>
>>719634156
You can mitigate that by putting it in a case, the only way to stop a ps1 from melting itself is to not use it.

I imagine the lasers socket or lens has caved in a bit and gravity fixes the issue.

In my experience jeets don't make that mistake, it's people that have romance languages like Spanish or Portuguese where you can make a statement and slap a question mark on that make this error. In English you cannot do that

I slightly recall it scratching discs now and then. That might have been the cause.
But being a child, I never really thought to turn it upside down. I attempted to buff out the scratches with toothpaste and give the ps1 a smack whenever it made noises I didnt like lmao.

Fine and dandy until I dropped a 30kg TV on it.

That have romance languages as their native language*
>>
>>719634352
This, it's one of those classic tells like how a Romance speaker will say something "has X years" instead of "is X years old".
