>>719657962Sanderson got too big for his own good. I used to enjoy his books when they were all standalone series with more / less fun magic systems. Once most of his series were meant to interconnect and things became too epic (looking at you Stormlight Archive) he lost me.Instead read Jim Butcher and his Dresden Files. I read and reread all the Dresden books multiple times and every single one is a master piece of pacing. The books get so intense you will not be able to put them down for the last third. That is, at least until he got divorced and his latest book got split into two. It really shows because he tried to make two standalone books out of it and it ruins the pacing. The climax in the first book is forced as fuck and the build up in the second book is too short so that the later parts drag on.Still, great series with like a solid 15 or 18 books or however many that were.
