It kind of sucks that it was the first one I put a meaningful amount of time into, because everything else pales in comparisonDarkViolet is ok for being a Gen 1-but-different game. Super Mariomon. It genuinely felt like I was playing a brand new Pokemon release. The only downside is the dev battles are straight up just one-shots against you unless you abuse King Boo and there's some memes here and there which you need to ignore.
I'm not even sure exactly how to start playing romhacks. Can I just use the web browser for it?As far as romhacks are concerned, I wouldn't mind one that follows with the following criteria:- All Pokemon of that generation are possible to evolve/catch. If new 'mons are in there, I don't mind.- Preferably while making Pokemon that only normally involve evolving via trades evolving in a different manner (Level up in X location, reach X level again, etc).- All the HMs! I understand why a lot of them are gone, but I also like them even if it means keeping HM slaves. I personally think that the world should let you use HM moves so long as you have a Pokemon that can normally learn it, whether or not they actually know it.- Doesn't have a story that's pushing an agenda onto me. If it does succeed in cracking me up with/at it though, I'm ok with it.- Preferably one where IVs are fixed, especially at maximal value.I'm sure I'll come up with more of them as we go on, but those are the general ones off the top of my head. mariomon is really good.whatever the drayano hack of gen 1 remake was.emerald kaizo is great if you want something hardcore. Im not autistic and was still able to get through it with some grinding and serious strategy.

You're better off getting new ones from scratch.
there are some damn good ones but i find so much guilty pleasure in snakewood that i end up actually enjoying how stupid it is and the pretty roundabout ways some of the more powerful fakemon are. it is obvious the dev just lost interest by the end but what's there and the shit you can also find just from going out of bounds or just mucking around in areas is neat.
