I have never played a Pokemon game in my life. What is the entry level game for this series? I want the one that is considered the best, I don't care about lore or nostalgia.

In which case, watch the anime instead or better yet, play any other game.As far as gameplay goes, your best off playing a ROM hack, as the battles actual require a brain and levelling is often capped. If you must play a mainline game, I suggest any of the new ones with full team exp share, so you don't get stuck using the one pokemon who is 20 levels higher than the rest, and avoid as many battles as possible to avoid overlevelling. >>719692724Also don't listen to this retard. >>719692502Do yourself a favor and just play Firered or Leafgreen. They're remakes of the first games. A simple experience with the most iconic region. An excellent starting point. After that it's up to you, but I'd recommend Emerald > Platinum > HGSS and you can keep going is series order of you really like Pokemon's gameplay.
