>>719755747It looks alright, but it's the kind of thing that will live or die on its story and presentation, and they're already off to a bad start with this version of Bond himself. I don't like it. I play Hitman with all the xray vision and UI popup hint shit turned off. This looks like this x100. Because Bond has to be fast-paced and snappy and moron-proof instead of a puzzle game. Looks like they're just copy pasting some Hitman gameplay but way more shallow in between the scripted action set pieces. And even as a Bond game, it doesn't work at all. Bond wouldn't retarded point-and-click shit like turning on a hose, crouching in the grass and setting leaves on fire just to enter a glamorous reception. It's so dumb. And the zoomer face they picked... I cannot understand what they were thinking. The quippy tone of the writing is really obnoxious too.
>>719755747JUST PUT IT ON THE CARTRIDGE AND I WILL BUY IT
>>719755747Looks like no one thought about it in the first place.
it's literally hitman + uncharted
James Bond began and ended with Fleming novels. The movies were a nice tribute at best, and an outright insulting abomination at worse, but none of the merchandising ever encapsulated the that feel from the original adventures, specially when it comes to the character. Goldeneye was also a fun movie, and Brosnian is my favorite one from the casting, but the game was lame, and everything after it was even gayer and alien.
They will get 0$ until they put Hitman3WOA as an all in one bundle for free.
>bond puristsforgot these boomers existed lmao, its just spy slop. If you make a spy story they call it james bond anyway, so you just make the zoomer spy story james bond so people buy it. We haven't had a good spy story game since hitman arguably, I will steal it to see if this one is good at least.
>stealth not needed, just climbs through a window and is able to walk freely with the worst lie ever told>driving shit>third person action focusI'm sure I'm in the minority, but I don't want the game this action focused and would rather it really just be Hitman reskinned. I assume the Bond movies are more action oriented than the Mission Impossible series.

No thoughts on the gameplay but...Bond can't be fucking young. I can tell this will be a shit Bond game since the devs clearly completely missed the point of the character. Bond has to be at least 30 by the time of his FIRST mission. He's not supposed to be some gay ass spy kids he's a mature war veteran by the time he becomes 007.
>>719766545>>719776831I was surprised by how much of a sense of duty and willingness to sacrifice himself for the greater good there was in Moonraker. It's true, none of the films ever captured Fleming's original vision. Also Bond should be taking performance enhancing drugs all the time, I always liked that in the books.
>>719767504Those were good. Charlie Higson also wrote a great series which were based on kid Bond at boarding school during the inter-war years.
Just looks like a more action focused Hitman. There seems to be some fun in there like being able to control a plane you're on with a watch to knock crates at enemies. Though, there was significant frame drops for that section so I'm not sure it'll maintain a steady frame throughout. Might have to sacrifice some sections because the game has to calculate all the characters reactions and objects you can interact with and use. If it can at least maintain some fun with these action set pieces I'd be okay with a little drop in frames for it.

>>719781382>felt very HitmanExcept it's going to be streamlined to all shit. You're not going to have hours long expansive stealth levels in an action game like this.
>>719781456No you don't watch movies? Well maybe you should give them a try
>>719755747>not enough instinctoh nyo
>>719781470they're going to port all the WOA levels into this for updates and also add freelancer, trust
>Objective: park the car>Objective: look at the man>Objective: walk to the marker>New Intel from M: 007, don't forget to collect Bond Burgers to fill up your Aston Martin™ meter
Judging from some of the collaborations IOI has gotten for Hitman, I assume the have some oldfart dudes in charge who just really wanted to make a James Bond game. I mean you'd have to be a bunch of old farts to want to make a mission pack starring Jeanne Claude van Damme.I'm not sure how much replay value their Bond game is gonna have compared to Hitman game, though. How many different ways can you approach playing "car chase mission" eh
>>719755747It's IOI, it'll have a ton of really good ideas but one really REALLY shitty idea that drags it down by a lot
>>719782085>How many different ways can you approach playing "car chase mission" ehIn PS2 bond games you had open hub locations for car missions and you could do your car objectives in any order so they can be more open ended than you'd think
It's hard to grasp how dense some of you are. That's how gameplay showcases lookif you did a showcase for Hitman, it would look boring and railroaded too. That being said, they’ve got to fix the performance and the magnetic QTEs.
>>719783817No gameplay showcases don't usually showcase low FPS and clunky animation.>they'll fix it laterIt only ever gets worse
>>719782085Good chance there's a real Racing mission where you have to win for whatever reason.
Test
>>719783901Yeah but they usually do showcase Exposition and bigger set pieces.
>>719773251>chest-high walls third person cover shooterWhat fucking year is this?
I can see now why Uncharted movie games take so long to make, lesser devs go all on pretty visuals and cheap out on animations and optimizations.
>>719755747Looks jank but fun, might get it when it gets cheaper>check steam page>35 bucksWell shit I might just get it day1
>>719755747https://youtu.be/Jom-jxUEqJg?t=449 Hey look! Can you see the window you fucking idiot, it's right there!
>>719755747Utter garbage
>>719768668>Game so terrible it killed any future this mid franchise could have had
>the cars/driving look straight out of hitman>hitman only uses the cars in on-rail exit animationsi forget the term gta anons used but the cars dont have any suspension and just sort of jig the whole model up the second they drive over anything not perfectly flat
>>719755747I cannot get used to nu-Bond's faggoty zoomer voice. I don't mind the attempt to make him mid-to-late-20s as opposed to the usual late 30s to early 40s but their voice casting department needs to be fired because the guy they hired is godawful.
>>719784667Charging full-price for Hitman games, but not full-price for well-hyped Bond game sounds like a massive red flag. I don't think it's going to be bad as MindsEye but I smell something similar.
>>719785113How would nobody see this? He's hanging right above a commonly used gate
>>719755747mediocre as fuck
>Compass>In a game mostly set in a closed space with next to no navigationwhy
>>719760928the Dooms
>>719785689It's 70 dollars for burgerbros but dirt cheap for third worlders for whatever reason, never seen regional pricing with a gap this big before
What stands out the most to me in this footage is how you're either a bullet sponge getting shot to hell while aiming, or you're engaged in some flashy move and everyone politely waits with their gun pointed at you until you've finished.
>>719786069gaas pricing
>>719780557Ever play Agent Under Fire, or Nightfire, or Everything or Nothing, or Blood Stone? Those all had a few driving levels. Don't even try looking up 007 Racing.
>>719773251I hope we can turn off the hitmarker, the hit reaction is already very strong, its completely unnecessary
>>719781004Imagine how sweaty her bare feet are...Whoever critcizes this scene is an uncultured swine.
>>719775962the game you posted contains multiple vehicle exclusive missions what the fuck are you talking about
Will we get missions where we get a license to kill people that watch ecchi anime and say mean things on the internet about rape gangs.
Looks worse than I could possibly have imagined. So an ordinary snoy
>>719785858He literally brushed shoulders with a guard after lighting the fire too and apparently the guard would have no idea where he went walking into a corner. Shamefur dispray
>>719766545I remember reading this for the first time and laughing at its awkward writing>There were three telephones on Bond’s desk. A black one for outside calls, a green office telephone, and a red one which went only to M. and his Chief of Staff. It was the familiar burr of the red one that broke the silence of the room.>It was M’s Chief of Staff.but a few chapters in and I was having a grand old time. Good book.
>>719755747Personally I'd rather have more spycraft rather than going in guns blazing, but I guess that ship sailed with Goldeneye.
