Tell me about the best game you played this year.
no because you made the eyes brown for no good reason
>>719758557The blue eyes one before reminded me of that bno sissy slave guy posting with the black baby doll
>>719758489I fell for the negativity and didn't touch it until this year. I was then treated to the best RPG I've played in at least a decade. Every aspect the experience has a perfect feedback loop. Normally you dungeon crawl and you might find one better item than you use. Fallout 4 actually makes literal junk and garbage valuable in several ways. Clearing out dungeons is just indescribably satisfying.
I can't even meme, some of these games are more interesting than many indie and AAA games you can find on Steam. Sure a lot are pay to win but the good ones are absolute gems.
>>719758489>call your eyes hazel because they have a few green streaks in themany other brown eyes do this as a kid?
Your choices actually kind of matter and it's 90 hours to complete all three combined.
>>719758489my goty flopped badly :(
>>719758489i have played nothing but remasters this yearthe only actual new games i played were mh milds and nightreign and nightreign was significantly more enjoyable
Elden Ring Nightreign condensed Elden Ring's progression into an almost boardgame-like miniplay thru. It is the first game in a long time with a limited cast of "fighters" but each one feels necessary and distinct. I don't love the shrinking map mechanic, and the lack of comms leads to randoms misunderstanding our route - but play with the erg code and most randos pass. I love the Final Bosses, I'd say Heolster redeems Elden Beast from base game.Actually Nightreign does so much well that I fully anticipate that I might outpace ER hours (800 4 playthrus VS 150 nightreign so far) if the game is supported I found that I enjoy the forumla of it. It IS too repetitive as is, so I look forward to DLC/modifiersI now want a dungeon crawler version of this; instead of open world it's 3 segmented rng chalice dungeon (but in the depth of legacy dungeons) with varied bosses and gear. Picture a catacombs -> city -> lothric castle with final boss with your 3 person coop team no fortnite circle

>>719758489cs2
>>719759529holy shit that colour is hideous
>>719758680>reminded me of that bno sissy slave guy posting with the black baby doll....Sounds about right....
>>719758489Probably Yakuza 4. PEAKuza 4.
>>719758489I was looking for something to scratch a Shenmue itch and landed on Shadow of Destiny. I think that while clear concessions were made in terms of world interactivity and detail compared to something as autistic as Shenmue, the locations and characters have deeper connections and are more interesting. I also felt that the mystery surrounding Eike and how/why he is roped into jumping between time periods to avert his own death was much more interesting than Ryo's quest to avenge his father's death.
>>719760072lol, reminds me if the ugliest color they did an actual study about with smokers and unappealing packaging

>>719758489I don't play horror games that much but I really liked Visage and keep thinking about it months later.
Muramasa, loved it. It has something that makes it go to my all time favourite.
>>719758489Bloodborne
>>719758489Deus Ex (2000)Returned many years after getting filtered by the first mission, and I'm glad I did
>>719758489none because there is no such thing as a "best" or "good" video game i leave this as one of my last retarded piosts before i fucking kill myself, see ya
>>719763251see you tomorrow
>>719758489I played e33 this year, so thatThis year I also played mgs1 and 2 for the first time
MHWoSuperb animations, one of the best gamefeel out there.one of my favorite action games of all time. Nioh2 and god hand still clear though.
>>719758489Sleeping Dogs probably. Went and replayed it. It's still the best kung fu style action game that isn't also capeshit. I went and 100% to get all the cheevos this time, and it was just a solid game all around. I thought the DLCs were kinda mid-tier at best, but the base game is pretty incredible and worth playing if you want a GTA style game in Hong Kong with a focus on punching people.
I took a break from the game and finally went back and finished the campaign on hard mode in the 1.3 beta branch that kept things pre-content update. The game's so charming overall and Miss Noir getting punched in the face and staying knocked out was based. And then I went to the updated version and holy cow jumping feels so much better and there's none of that negative edge nonsense even though I'm not used to the new floatiness.
Oh christ. Uh... I played through the entirety of the Armored Core series this year, chronologically. Never played any of them before. That was a lot of fun... So, probably Last Raven. Rubicon was amazing too, honestly. Had a couple friends over and we hooked our GameCubes up. Played Kirby Air Ride together for hours. Four Cubes, four TVs, four Broadband Adaptors. That was sick. Definitely up there.
its either wuchang or hell is us , good gameplay , good story 0 bullshit and as a plus... 0 niggers in both

>>719758489EDF 6
Donkey Dong Dongnanza
>>719758489Doom The Dark Ages. Granted I haven't played very many new games this year, but I still thought it was good.
>>719761170Exodia
>>719758489Doom the dark ages is fun as fuck. Ive got like sixty hours or more in it. It feels so good and the updates they made just made it more difficult how it should have been at launch. Mess with the settings and you can have it feel perfect
Finally got around to playing Cruelty Squad after buying it a few years ago. Game is punishing, but I really liked the gameplay and hostile aesthetics.
I can't choose which one is the best, so I'm gonna lay out my top 5. And one of you guys can pick it for me, then I'll talk about it.>Etrian Odyssey 3>Pikmin Squared>HorrorVale>Savant Ascent REMIX>Spark tEJ 3
I loved the team building and combat in Tactics Ogre
>>719764541>LOBOTOMITE!
Its still lies of PI really hope they show off the new game at tga, I just want to play more of it but I already got all the achievements in LoP, the only game I ever bothered to go for achievements
>>719758489Why are brown eyes so much more comfortable to look at compared to blue ones?
>>719759075Looks like Riotslop and not the good kind.
>>719764541If anything those kind of packs look rad as fuck.
>>719765793they are?
>>719758489It must not have been that outstanding because I can't remember which games if any I played this year.
>>719765378lel, got me
>>719758489It's about a hot girl in a turret defending her base against aliens and occasionally getting naked along the way.
Probably Onimusha or the first DmC. Really makes me nostalgic for that time and has got me wishing they were more "RE-like" games. I love the atmosphere and the lean length of these games which, much like RE, makes the whole experience feel more like a blockbuster movie than all the "cinematic" titles.
>>719765793Even though dark hair is considered beautiful it's weird how brown eyes have so little prestige, some people even hate them more than dark skin, which is bizarre. Bright blues eyes are definitely very striking but they can look downright gaudy, glad mine are more dark blue.
abiotic factor>>719762075be sure to play the DLC, it's great
I've really enjoyed V rising and abiotic factor this year
>>719758680Based
>>719767801Blue and green are just beautiful colors, I agree that ice/grey blue eyes dont look too great(which is unfortunate for me) but deep blue/green eyes are just beautiful to look at, there is a reason eyes are often compared to gemstones
>>719765793Your mother probably had brown eyes or somethingWe are creatures of comfortOr a cute girl you half remember from your life impressed upon you a positive quality
E33 by a mile
nuclear option is a neat flight simi just hate the long range missiles that force you to turn and jam, they ruin the gameplaystick it to the stickman is super cheap and fun as well
>>719758489Started playing PSO and holy shit it's such a delight. You can tell they had no idea what they were doing and weren't afraid of some mechanics that would get them drawn and quartered today, like section IDs, the differences between not only each class and race but each sex thereof, and the huge differences between the androids and fleshies. It's also absolutely gorgeous to boot, almost sad I never got into it as a kid but it's probably for the best
>>719758489Probably DRAPLINE, it's just a short indie game about raising a dragon girl but I enjoyed it immensely and it was cheap on sale. I think about it every day now.
>>719768334I have it on my wishlist but I'll wait until it comes out of EA.
>>719758489Batman Arkham KnightAbsolutely love this game, including the Batmobile stuff
>>719758489E33, what's left to say. That said Ive been thinking about the AIs in Cyberpunk a lot this year. So maybe thats was the better game though I enjoyed playing it less. I do wonder if its take on AIs is prophetic.
>>719768430It's basically got a fully playable story right now designed to be replayed a few times with two versions of it, the reason it's in EA is because they're going to add a second story. I can't say it's worth breaking a principle of no EA for if you've been burned before but I enjoy it and am on the third play of it.
>>719758720Im sorry about the accident
>>719758489Shadow of the colossus
I had blue eyes as a baby therefore I'm an aryan god.Kneel niggers
>>719769141did the niggers steal them?
>>719758489I sank dozens of hours into Cyber Knights and since I unlocked retirement I'm trying again on the hardest difficulty. If only there were actual guides for it but once you figure out something yourself it feels amazing. Like when I realized in the hacking minigame I can just ignore nodes I don't wanna interact with. Take a small security hit and loot the next one (not smart if you have to revisit that node a lot though). My only wish was it had more pure combat missions because they are rad as hell.
>>719758489UFO50 has a lot of cool concepts, but a lot of them are also frustratingly difficult (fuck you pilot quest). I can't tell if I'm just good at bug hunter or if it's just the easiest.
I went in with mid expectations and came out loving itI just thought it was really neat
>>719758489I've played and beaten like 7 games this year. Borderlands 1, Oblivion Remaster, Pacific Drive, Tunic, Dredge, Metaphor ReFantazio, and Signalis and Tunic was probably the one I enjoyed playing the most. The puzzles were very fun and the guidebook was a very clever and well executed mechanic. I loved how cute everything was and how it wears its inspirations on its sleeve. Close 2nd would be Metaphor.
>>719758489My eyes look like that irl btw.
post them brown eyed characters
>>719767615Based TurrerGirls enjoyer
it was a toon mascot dead by daylight clone. you have been told.
>>719758489Hard to say which one was my favorite this year. I think It'd be Beyond Citadel or Wizardry V, not too sure. Both were fantastic.
>>719758489I expected Abiotic Factor to be "indie boomer shooter" with Half-Life flavor. Then I've tried the demo and got hooked.
>>719758489Inc shitposters; but e33.It was good, great maybe. Act 3 was a downer, but not much competition.(Biggest problem isn’t the game, but the reddit fan base fellating it. It’s a solid game, I don’t get the contrarianism)
>>7197584892025 release? I guess Delta sadly enoughI did play Indika from last year though it's pretty good.
Stellar Blade.
>>719758489possibly not the best game this year but god if it was the best i felt playing in many years, very special for me
>>719758720Apologize for doubting Todd
>>719758489It’s in early access but White Knuckle is pretty cool, fun gameplay loop and pretty neat brutalist super structure world aesthetic. If not that then Abiotic Factor
>>719758720That's cool and all, but it's really not an RPG
Hearts of Iron 4: The Fire Rises mod.I played the New World Order path and man, I've played some real monsters over the years, some absolute fuckers. But this was the only time I've ever played a path where the characters involved lacked any virtue at all. Usually if you're playing a bastard they at least make them entertaining. But it was an entire campaign about grey, soulless little men enacting inhumanity upon the innocent without so much as a shred of hesitation and getting away with it all.It was fantastic.
>>719758489Abiotic Factor. It's like Half-Life mixed with one of the better Shock games with survival crafting. But the survival crafting is actually good because you're a scientist and you're crafting mad science weapons and equipment while carving out a small area of your collapsing research facility as a base. The map is handcrafted so no procedural generation garbage, and its all interlinked with unlockable shortcuts. Little grinding too, unless you want to make a lot of something, which isn't usually necessary. The plot is interesting, you're a scientist working in a Black Mesa/SCP style lab researching other universes only some militaristic cult invade and a massive containment breach ensues, so you need to slowly find your way out of the base.It won't be for everyone but this is my GOTY.
>>719758489Deus Ex. This year was the 25th anniversary and it got a new release of one of its best mods (GMDX Augmented Edition).I play it every year though so it's always the best game I played that year.
>>719758489Elden Ring Nightreign of course, Fromsoft is the only developer still making good games.
>>719758720It's good in a lot of ways, what people mostly didn't like was how it rapes the shit out of the original cannon, but IMO that shit has sailed, this is basically a spinoff at this point and peeps gotta get over it at this point. But also that it's not really an RPG.Really it just pisses off old fans becase it's not fallout, but it's an good game in a lot of ways.Just don't think to hard about the main plot or any of the factions actions...
>>719758489The Ps2 games I emulated. Dynasty Warriors 3, GTA: SA, Jak & Daxter etc
>>719758489expedition 33
>>719760815Based and great taste
>>719758489dk bananza
>>719758489Into The Radius 2. The first was excellent and the second is shaping up really nicely, but still in early access. I love the weirdness and creepiness of it. It's not terrifying to the point you don't want to play it, but it definitely got to me in parts. The combat and gun realism is great.
Got around to play Beyond Citadel and I really enjoyed it for what it was
Dolls Nest. I'm weird guy with niche interests and this game is combination of few of them - mecha musume with PS2 Armored Core era combat/controls, exploration and Blame! vibes.
>>719758489Pathologic 2.I didn't beat it because I got stunlocked by the choice on day 7(?) to save the little girl and inherit the plague, or have her disappear.Maybe I'll get back to it sometime. Sprinting through a house covered in pestilence collecting charms and balls of yarn while a baby cries full volume into your earholes was quite the experience.
>>719758489Vintage Story, I thought it was just a minecraft clone, but its the 3D dwarf fortress adventure mode i always wanted

>>719758489I replayed hollow knight in anticipation of silksong for the first time since 2019 and it has been by far the best game I've played this year so far

Either Blue Prince or Lorelei and the Laser Eyes. I like puzzles. The latter was really inspiring about art.
>>719758489It has horses.

>>719758489>some time ago see poll on youtube about eye colors>couple million votes>most of the votes was just black, not even brownGrim
>>719758489Release in 2025 by played it at the beggining of summer.Extremely good platformer with non-concentional controls. We'll see how EUV and BF6 turn out but for the moment this is my GOTY.
>>719786387Oh, that was fun. Huge amount of sequence breaks, though fat load of good that did you in the end. I liked how it gradually taught you the specialised moveset.
Fuck you shitskin
>>719758489here are the top games i have played this year, in no particular order>rusted mossi don't really like many metroidvanias, the genre is pretty stale. but this one was fun. great use of the grappling hook mechanics combined with the 360 degree aiming made for some cool fights that were far more vertical than most metroidvanias which normally are very horizontal in their combat.>metro 2033 and last lightfun games. i like the idea of money being ammo and having to balance the two. the trek through the metro was fun, bordered on horror without actually being scary. the gas mask and flashlight mechanics were interesting. it was a great way to make a bigger title that can appeal to normies/casuals while getting some more simulation aspects into the game. will play exodus later this year (hopefully).>death stranding directors cuthaven't played since 2019 release. even better than i remember because i now have a better understanding of the gnostic themes present in the game.>GUNgood cowboy game. short and to the point. not a lot of bloat.>samurai westernsilly hack and slash cowboy game. extremely short, wish the main game was longer. nice to have a ps2 game that actually changes the look of your character based on equipment. designs and characters were interesting and surprisingly memorable. would love a sequel.>the pathlesscool game for the kind of people who enjoyed journey or shadow of the colossus. not difficult at all, but a very artful one.>death's doortop down zelda+souls done very well with music that is reminiscent of some songs on the kingdom hearts OSTs. nothing groundbreaking, just a very competent game.>lollipop chainsawCUHRAZY game with good vibes. i wish more games had sexy women in them.>severed steelmax payne+mirrors edge. very short but very good. can't wait to try the other game from this studio.>call of juarez gunslingergreat storytelling, decent shooting.
>>719758489I haven't played any games this year.
>>719761170You never seen one of those with an uncensored disected corpse with pitch black lungs and a yellow heart and shit before? Then again, I suppose the smokers in my country aren't really affected by it.
>>719786473
>>719758489dark souls 2
>>719787885you could put the most heinous shit on a cigarette pack and i'll still buy it. Every single smoker knows what they're signing up for and don't really care about the grotesque imagery. I assume it's to deter people from smoking, not getting smokers to quit
>>719758857My eyes are blue and green with yellow steaks. I call them hazel but most people I know say they are green.
>>719768484I liked Gotham Knights this year. That's my surprise pick.
>>719765793only true for girls. men with brown eyes are barely even human
>>719758489Xanadu Next
>>719758489Tough choice between abiotic factor and windblown. Lean towards abiotic factor just because it's a finished game.
>>719758557
>>719789372i can personally attest that abiotic factor is a great game but i actually stopped playing it because there's too much shit to do, there is just constantly more and more and more shit you have to build and learn and constantly adjusting your playstyle. i decided it wasn't for me but it is a good game and perhaps you might like that type of thing
>>719758680The fuck are you talking about?
Green eyes = best color>t. Have beautiful green eyes myself.
>>719790297I know people with Blue eyes need glasses more and have eye issues. I wonder if thats also true for green or if you are the master race. I heard its the rarest.> t. Ginger with brown eyes
>>719788945Gay!
>>719790570My eyesight is near perfect for my age, at least that is what the eye doctor said last year when I visited them due to eye inflamation I had.
>>719758489Crash 2. Was pretty nice, even if the final boss sucked.
>>719758489Games I will shill for:Dreams in the Witch House. RPG point and click hybrid based on the Lovecraft story. Manages to be a bit creepy with Maniac Mansion type graphics. Has failstates and death (unlike most p&c). Classic one guy project. Old Skies. More traditional P&C with a very good time travel story that manages to tell the common “what if you could change history” thread from an interesting POV. You’re constantly fucking with history, it’s just your job. People ask you to rewrite this that and the other and other lines of history are erased around your safe zones. If life is so easily rewritten, what does it matter?KCD2. The one I would nominate for GOTY. It’s just really solid, the annoying diversity shit a minor blemish with 100 hours of good gameplay not even going for completionist. Shares something with RDR2 in that it’s easy to just get lost wandering the woods, hunting some animals and killing bandits for a while because it’s just zen.
Expedition 33 is the best new release of 2025.i enjoy long series so I had the most fun I had was marathonning every Yakuza/RGG game this year
>>7197936902 yuan have been deposited in your account.

>>719794006Why did you sign your post?
"Best" is a strong word, but it's been a while since a game caught my interest the same way Metro Gravity has. It's jank with a number of conflicting systems, being a 3D Metroidvania meets rhythm action meeds gravity puzzle game. Fuck if it doesn't have heart though, and that carried it places for me.
>>719758489The best game I have played this year is TGM 4 and I fucking suck at it.
