Why does it feel like there is less games to play than before?

Games with any kind of budget take forever to make now because they waste obscene amounts of time on graphics, and when they do release they usually run like ass and suck because of various different reasons. Mid budget games are extremely rare now, and indies usually end up being shit since the people making them typically know nothing about game development. There's exceptions to all of this but they're rare nowadays.

I often feel like I'm detached from most of the mainstream industry. Games people talk about like that Expedition 33 or whatever I have no idea about. Even worse is the F2P gacha slop young people play nowadays.
