After completing 3 regions, im kinda burned out on the game.Not sure if i should drop it for a while and play something else or just skip everything and rush the main story.
Drop it and play the real FF7.You could've finished it 100% within the time it takes to play ONE (1) of these demake chapters.

>>719783721You don't need to 100% each region. Only do enough region intel to buy the materia Chadley sells for each. For example in Grassland you don't need 2 Morph materias for its region intel. For green marked character side quests, you can do them all or only do ones with the character you want to date with and then return to do the others after the date.

>>719784257The Gold saucer has small date on the chapter you reach it and then after Nibelheim there's another chapter with bigger date. The earlier date is just the character and you checking the place out and playing minigames with them commenting and the non-date characters also having bit of dialogue. The second date has you play the hero and the date princess in the theatre play. If you date Barret or Red XIII, then Aerith will play Princess and she also sings the title song no matter who your date is. After theatre it's the Ferris Wheel. If your affection level with the date is high enough, you get intimate scene: Aerith handholding, Tifa kiss, Yuffie kiss on cheek, Red lets you touch his paw and I don't know what's Barret's intimate date. If you fail to rise anyone's affection level even for the normal date, then Cait Sith, Vincent and Cid throw you a pity party.

If you like the combat and characters, its worth still rushing the main story. Every area has new enemies, new bosses and traveling around and seeing each new region is still great. but yeah its full of annoying filler content and forcing yourself to 100% before moving on definitely would lead to burn out. I don't want to see any more towers, summon shrines or the lifestream springs

There is sometimes good character banter, and journals are nice, but the game really lacked something to break up all the combat. It was nice that I got so broken early act 2 that I could just run past enemies and not care as much cause I would blast whatever I needed to fight anyways

Its just not in a menu you can hover to see "0/2 Pictos Found, 0/1 Mime Fought" near locations.when you make shit unmissable you remove all joy in finding it. expedition 33 actually overdid this especially in act 3 where you basically start right next to the end of the game and all the side content, a lot of it high quality stuff that touches on key points of the plot is behind you with nothing to even suggest you should go seek it, i finished the game and then saw a videos online of people doing side content i didnt know existed so i loaded a save and did that. i think that is still better than the F7R way but an ideal would be hinting at side content, having it visible from places you go to in the main plot but not shoving it in your face with lists or map markers.
