>>719801930>he doesn't enjoy learninggenetic dead end
>>719801930just play war thunder and have fun >Pilot knocked out
If it's an offline single player game, there is literally no excuse.
>>719801930If you don't want to git gud, learn the RPG mechanics instead.
>>719801930kys or git gud
>>719801930Have you considered not being a retard with a short temper whose self-esteem depends heavily on how good he is at video games?
>>719801930Doing something else is an option too. If it's too frustrating to be fun for you, just do something else. Nobody is forcing you to play the difficult videogame. It's a voluntary challenge. Your honor is not on the line. You don't have to take online banter to heart.
>>719801930Stop blocking and dodging and start parrying.
>>719801930It's funny because souls games aren't even hard.
>>719801930I jobbed to the fume knight for months, then I beat him. We'll fo the same with Sir Alonne.Such is life.
>>719801930>i hate hard video games, i'm just gonna read a book instea-
>>719801930>I am le tired dad who works in the mines all day and blah blah blah
>>719801930Ok. I accept responsibility for being bad at the game, and I understand that the most fun thing I could possibly do is overcome this difficult, yet ultimately fair challenge.
>>719802080But it's not okay to complain about a game that you have to get good at, apparently.
>>719802093
>>719801930>He'd rather cope instead of just holding LB
>>719801930Why can't I enjoy ER and Sekiro the same way I enjoy DS1, 2 and 3? Is it the setting? Generic feudal japan and GRRM slop aren't that compelling I guess?
>>719801930Why would you care about videogames if you're not gonna bother putting the effort into playing them?
>>719803415OP wouldn't make it beyond the premise.
>>719801930It takes dozens of hours? It only took me a few minutes...
>>719801930You know what they say, OP. You either go hard, or you go soft. Now which will it be?
>>719801930You have Soulsniggers to thank for popularizing this mentality
>>719801930OP, I want to let you know that Im pushing 40 and I still manage to git gud enough to shit on zoomer faggots like you
>>719804814Hard men create strong times, strong time creates hard soft, hard soft creates confused hard men, confused hard soft create man times, hard men create harder men, men create man soft hard times for men who are not soft but actually quite hard.
>rollslop
>>719801930It depends in the fight, there's some games that have give bs movesets to their bosses like Expedition 33 final bosses (Paintress, Renoir, Simon) with long windups, multiple fakeouts and followed by rapidly swings that you can't even react because they are not telegraphed, they are just instant.Compare that to othe parry centric games like Sekiro, every boss in that game is an example of good game design, especially Inner Owl.
>be told to practice>give up the moment you failYou deserve mockery for mediocrity.
>>719801930>SPEND DOZENS OF HOURS EACH WEEKSbro you don't need to spend so much time just get gud lmao
>>719801930learning is subtle traumamemories are actually scars on the brainpeople teach the way they've been traumatized themselvespeople behave in patterns dictated by traumapatterns are vibrationthe soul vibrates and produce the dream we call lifereturn to stillness
>>719801930this only makes sense with fighting games, if you mean DS then unironically get good scrub
>>719803415What did he mean by putting the preface first?
>>719803663is this one of those images that you can only view with some secret club extension
>>719801930which specific part of a game do you all think OP is fuming about?
>>719801930git gud or uninstall faggot
>>719801930It doesn’t take that long
There's degrees to this. It's fine to have to concentrate and learn skills, but the moment I feel like I am *working* instead of playing a game, I drop it.A game's difficulty should only be only so high as the player can win while staying focused for short periods of time. Skills to win the challenges should take into account what he may have learned this way previously. It's a balance game designers should observe. Any need for "grinding" is a failure in design.

>>719801930It takes you dozens of hours to learn an enemy pattern?
Two choices:Get good Stay bad
>>719801930Mad cuz bad
>>719802173>don't play a lot of war thunder but a friend suggests a game>play war thunder tanks with him>two minutes into the game my tank gets strafed by a plane somebody somehow already has spawned and I'm stuck out in a field repairing>get repaired and then strafed again>half my crew is dead and I have to repair again>get killed by another tank when I'm almost able to move againfuck that game
>>719801930>never have to git gud at action games becuase I have an above average IQ and am naturally skilled at all Video Games>it's just intuitive and can enjoy the game out rightThe only games you ever meed to "git gud" at are PvP games. But you probably get filtered by those and refuse to play any PvP games.
>>719803908Elden Ring is a good game, which might make it hard for people that enjoy bad games to have fun with it.
>>719801930e33troons aren’t taking this well
The journey is the reward. :)Souls games aren't even hard, try playing ninja gaiden black or II, git gud.
>>719809273Are you saying DS1 is a bad game?
>>719809556Its worse than Elden Ring. Particularly in terms of protagonist mobility and the fluidity of gameplay.
>>719801930I look and talk like this.
reminder to always play on the highest git gud difficulty to suck out all the beauty and joy from the game, but hey you may get a trophy in the end that barely anyone cares about
>>719807490The first boss encounter in Silksong.
A lot of it is bullshit yes but it can be overcome.
>>719801930>SPEND DOZENS OF HOURS EACH WEEKSIf you need all that to get good, it's already over.
>>719801930I get you, lad. Every time I buy a racing game I'm frustrated, because I have to drive a car and I hate driving cars in games.
>>719809679That's such a zoomer thing to say
Is there a way to make bosses have all the same rules that apply to the player and still have them be challenging? I'm talking about flinching on most hits, getting interrupted while attacking, running out of stamina etc.Can a boss BE a player character and still pose a danger to the player, or does a boss need mechanical advantages over the player to present a challenge?
I thought this was a shmup thread
>>719801930Truthfully, that's how old 90s games use to work
>>719801930>>JUST SPEND DOZENS OF HOURS EACH WEEKS LEARNING THE SAME PATTERNS>>JUST DODGE THAT 0.2 SECOND OPENING DUDE! GIT GUD LMAOi think it says something about the modern era of shitters that exist now where the only way someone can be good is through investing 100s or 1000s of hours into something and being "unemployed". like the concept of a nigga just being better than you or has an easier time picking up things than you doesnt exist. its the same with how people think you need to treat fighting games as a job to be good despite some of the best fighting game players having full time jobs while competing
>>719801930unc mad ahh
>>719801930shes right
>>719801930>dozens of hoursUnless you're REALLY shit at anything you don't need that much to "git gud", repetition for a couple of minutes to an hour every day is enough to get the hang of something and this applies to studying too although that would take longer than muscle memory if you're not spending that much time with it, you just need to do what works best for youIt applies to everything, guitar as well for example, once you "get gud" you can drop it for a couple of months and pick it back up quickly
>>719813879we're all exactly the same. everyone is equally handicapable. anyone who says otherwise is a bigot and a racist.
>>719801930lol mad cuz bad
>>719803908It took me 2 playthroughs to enjoy and appreciate ER and its most likely because I knew what was coming and how to handle it by my 3rd playthrough. Going through the first time was not as fun as people make the game out to be at all.
>>719801930Dark Souls 1 did genuinely set out to entertain the player by presenting them with a fair challenge that they were expected to overcome with thought and perseverance, when players at the time were too used to games where you press X to win or where you could instantly retry things until you succeeded at them and wanted to know why they couldn't just mash R1 to kill Capra Demon and complained about him being "bullshit". Maximum Difficulty was never supposed to be the point of Dark Souls. But then people forgot about the context of all that and even the series itself turned into picrel, culminating in Elden Ring.
>>719802080no it isn't? he should be embarrassed
>>719813879I recently bought Returnal and finished the first 2 acts of the game in the first day I bought it (beat two runs back to back) only to then check reddit and see that shitters were proud of beating the first ZONE after hours of trying or cheering eachother after beating the first BOSS after 30 tries.Shitters today are supercharged.
Imagine being so butty blasted, so anal pained, you create a thread like this. Just embarrassing really.
>>719816982When enemies began to feint attacks, to make you roll at the wrong time, that was the beginning of the end.I played Elden Ring before any other souls game and I was so confused as to why the boss in Stormveil had those weird delayed animations. Until I understood that they were made like this to give more of a challenge tho the Simon Says veterans.
>>719801930play easier games then, damn
>>719816982Demon's souls wasn't harder than any call of duty, it just was obtrusive and had a higher skill floor.
>Dude, there's enough of an opening to get one hit in every 30-45 seconds, realistically a successful fight will only take 20 minutes>I mean, you'll need to learn the 13 hit combos, delays, and change-ups while still being killed in 2-3 hits which means a significant amount of your free time will be flushed down the toilet while learning and on unsuccessful attempts but just, like, git gud dude lol
>>719801930>No bro when I start a game it should just hand me all the items and free progression and shit that I want immediately!>Bro I don't want challenge I just want instant gratification!!!!GTA with cheat codes is that way ----->Stop playing games clearly above your pay grade.
>>719819378Most gamer dads bitch and moan about games not respecting their time and how they only have 1 hour per moth to play a game but they still praise shit like E33 where you are almost guaranteed to die during boss fightsSoulslop isn't even hard. Just time consuming. Any retard will eventually beat a boss after x attempts
>>719819378>pixelated phone screencap>complains about videogame being too hard in 2025kek
>>719816062For me, it's probably the open world aspect of it.I much prefer multiple branching paths rather than "okay, go wherever"
>>719801930>instant gratification nigger thinks life is any differentgit gud shitter
>>719801930>>HAHA JUST GIT GUD LMA-nah i don't feel like it>JUST SPEND DOZENS OF HOU-too much work>JUST DODGE THAT 0.-gonna warm up some milk and take an afternoon nap>GIT GUD!! GI-*zzz*
