Was saving him for the literal last hour of the game really the best idea? I just watched a friend play through Bananza and I was excited for his reaction because he grew up with DKC, but he just stared at me like the devs were fucking retarded and said "Why the fuck wasn't he the villain from the start?"

K rool being trapped underground is meta commentary for him being vaulted for over a decade, next game he will show up from the start
>>
>Was saving him for the literal last hour of the game really the best idea?
Yes, it was fucking kino.
>>
>descending deeper and deeper through different layers of the underground
>King K. Rool is sealed at the very bottom
Bananza is an adaptation of Dante's Inferno and K. Rool is fucking Satan. That's badass.

I kinda wish the kremlings weren’t just reskins but otherwise I thought king k rool’s deepest layer of hell was kino af

the only real thing that stuck out to me was the midboss of the layer just being a rematch against an earlier boss (and one of the easiest in the game at that) with little to nothing changed
the least they could've done was give him a crocodile head or something

I wish I hadn't been spoiled prior to beating the game. That would've been a cool surprise.
>>
>>719841663
Yes that too, some missed opportunity there
>>
Redpill me on Bananza, I haven't played it because I don't own a switch 2. What's the lore reason for K. Rool being in it? Was he an ancient evil that was sealed away and would this one be his first chronological appearance considering the game is alledgedly a DK81 prequel?
>>
>>719837885
you and your friend are retarded faggots

>Was he an ancient evil that was sealed away
Pretty much except he's not ancient and it's not a prequel. He traveled to the center of the earth to try and harness the power of the banandium core but it sensed his evil and sealed him away until DK and the rest stumbled upon him and reawakened him.

I think they did him justice and painted him as a real threat this way. But I hope he's the main villain from the start in the next games.
>>
God I wish I was in Rools stomach and being dissolved by those potent ancient reptilian acids...

>considering the game is alledgedly a DK81 prequel
The entire Donkey Kong Country series has retroactively become a prequel.
Given Pauline's age and the fact that Bananza DK is explicitly the same one from the DKC games, the DK from Donkey Kong Country might have been quietly retconned into being DK Jr. rather than DK III.
>>
I figured out he was in the game because of all the gold crocodile skeletons and the poster of the banadium root made me think of his big golden tummmie :-))))) *licks chops*
>>
>>719837885
>"Why the fuck wasn't he the villain from the start?"
Because he was a last minute addition nostalgia bait to save an otherwise irredeemable game.

I'm trans btw

Why would a tranny dislike a modern Nintendo game?

Bananza confirms that K. Rool still has a wife (this is genocide against the gays)
