I instantly smiled and the skill game was going to demand of me. Must suck to fear being challenged
>>
The second I realized I couldn't just brainlessly play the game on autopilot I started laughing and grinding ear to ear like a Cheshire cat. I even started swapping between analog and digital movement input to meet the situation. I love this so much.

When I saw how cool and epic this game was I started shidding and farding. Gamers.

What part of India are you from?

Gay! Path of pain faggot pleasers.

On the flipside, some speedrunning tard probably finished it in one sitting, started at the moment it launched.

Learn to pace yourselves, retards.

Honestly chuckled once I realized that this was gonna be >that part of the game for shitters.

respect to the devs for putting up some skill walls.
it feels like the game may have had a bit too long in the oven though. devs get way too good at their game and get bored, so they start throwing in mechanical friction that is unnecessarily jarring to a first time player

I literally had no problem with the diagonal pogo until this point, im confused theres something fundamentally wrong with the interaction here.

I have a theory that theres a bit of delay before you pogo can actually come out after a successful pogo, for a successive pogo.

another problem ive been running into is, the feeling that pogo should have priority, what i mean is that sometimes my pogo doesnt come out and I will land on an enemy instead of pogoing, I think that must be a problem either of the delay in pogoing, or theres no startup invincibility or something.

why this is problematic?

you can be doing the exact same inputs every time, with zero reason to think one wont suddenly work, and yet it can feel random. fixing this would make things more stable and consistent.

this little miniscule thing should be justification enough on the basis of "challenge" theres suffient amount of punishing mechanics, this doesnt really add anything

(when I talked about pogo delay, the problem isnt like basic nail attack delay, which can be made consistent simply by looking at the end of the attack and a return to stand still, with pogo, its much less clear, even when the pogo has ended, you may not actually yet be able to pogo, so what you end up doing, is pogoing a bit late to overcompensate and you can miss a pogo plant by a hair.)

I like the demand of precision I just think there are some problems.

Also Id still call this fairly basic platforming, there are still yet, no real "platforming" levels. But "platforming instances".

If youve played Beyond Good and Evil I would compare it to the hover craft sections in that game. Yes there are instances where you use the hovercraft often, but yet it never really demands any moment to moment engagement beyond a single context if that makes sense.

there does seem to be an issue with pogoing from an enemy, many times i thought the hit landed only for me to take a hit instead. i dont really play on controller but decided to do it this time around so im just getting used to it.

Idgi? Not some god gamer. Bell Beast killed me 2 or 3 times. I got slightly filtered on that big dude. But I cleared that "challenge" first try. Don't think I even fell down. Do people actually have issues with this?

The diagonal attack is really easy on keyboard. Get fucked, consolefags.

I use a gamepad, and I can do it reliably

I think OP isn’t referring to this specifically, but the Hunter’s Nest or whatever it was called. It’s filled with these and it’s the main method of traversal with failure resulting in you landing on spikes and the bench is funny.
>>
I wish the diagonal pogo went further, it stops quite early when I'm trying to lunge at enemies. Might be that there's just an upgrade that does it

What a fucking troll.
finding that lever made me so happy

feel like there might be, the pogo feels too short

So they evolved into Famicom Devs

lol I skipped these things because I thought I don't have some kind of upgrade

its pretty much every youtube channel that uploads gameplay footage to rake in people who just want to see the ending.

I’m currently climbing that vertical hallway in the ant zone without the floaty cape. Yeah, it’s doable.
