Lacey is based for having Excadrill as her ace. It's such a good complement to the rest of her team.

They gave her a southern accent in Masters. I generally think that game is stupid and don't care about it, but I think that was the intention for this character as she was written. It makes sense to me that she's supposed to be Texan like Clay, and that the dumb localizers just missed it or ignored it. She even has a catchphrase, written as "it's just not right!" but maybe intended as something like "it just ain't right!"

I like collecting shit. I've been trading all my Pokemon forward since Gen 3, so I've got some Pokemon that are about 20 years old at this point. There's a magic to that. It's always nice to clear a game, then bring in my bros and go through the postgame/DLC. As critical as I am about modern Pokemon, that's an experience you just can't get anywhere else.

Honestly true. If it weren't for that, I doubt I would have kept playing pokemon each new gen. But when I think I'm done I eventually come back and reconnect all my old stuff in the new gen. I have a full living dex up through SV now even.

I don't really play Pokémon either, mostly because I don't like the gameplay or music, and I prefer RPGs with more interesting stories and settings; less contemporary.
But I do like Lacey and Gloria, and I enjoyed the Colosseum games quite a bit.

1. The sense of adventure you feel going through the region
2. The progression you feel leveling up your team/catching new mons
3. The story/gameplay balance
4. How tight the gameplay/level curve is
5. How much I want to have sex with the characters

Anon you should not be grinding in any Pokemon game unless you're catching some level 5 shitter that you just caught before the Elite 4 that you decided last minute you want to use. The games are way more fun if you tackle them at the level the devs balanced it around. Fight all trainers, don't fight any wild Pokemon, that seems to be the best balance for getting just enough experience to keep the games fun, not too easy but not "I'm getting my shit stomped" hard
