how the fuck am I supposed to know I can view and rotate item in full screen
>>719858189I think I discovered by complete accident that you can view models by scrolling the mouse wheel or whatever it is that activated it. I don't think the game ever has a tutorial about how it works. The interface itself doesn't even let you know it can be done if I recall right.
>>719858189it's quite intuitive with how the 3D model pops up in the middle of the screen when you view it in you inventoryif you never figured out you can rotate items then you're just kinda stupid, but thats fine, doesn't make you a bad person
Resident Evil 1 Remake
>>719858189how stupid does someone has to be to get filtered by fucking Skyrim, THE normalfags rpg
>>719858189>hmm.. that claw
>>719858189I used to drop the item and then try and put it on its side and then read under it
>>719858189Filtered
Toad tells you about it.
they spoiled it in the e3 presentation
>>719858540I don't binge marketing events.
Here's a better question. If your door has both a number pad and a key, why are you writing the numerical code on the key? Todd is an asshole for wasting our time looking at his ugly fucking models for no reason every time we use a claw. We have the key, just let us open the door without fucking around spinning wheels and looking through the inventory every time. It's not a puzzle, it's just a blatant waste of time.
>>719858189i figured it out when i was a 10 year old toddler all by myselfUnless you are a genuine underage who doesnt even know how to breathe you have literally zero excuse
>>719858189I just brute forced the combo, there's not that many.
>>719858189It was a cool gimmick until you realize that every single draugr door was opened by pressing the same buttons twice each. Same with the elder scroll "puzzle" after the most interesting dungeon in the game.
>>719858743Skyrim kinda sucked when the skybox wasn’t THAT nighttime one.
>>719858189Imagine being dumber than DSP...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SH8NdhvLVzs&t=146s
>>719858189Unironically you had to watch some E3 showcase or soemthing where Todd praised their new shitty interface specifically around this gimmick to know it.
>>719858189You can always just guess
>>719859379and it's guaranteed to be the last attemptdidn't stop me from beating mist
>>719858189>make skyrim dragonclaw thread>pretend to be so retarded you can't figure out a simple game mechanic>bait actual retards into taking you seriously>thread devolves into shitpostingkek every single time
It's pretty bullshit how the Skeleton Key wouldn't let you open these when a fucking NPC could do itI can just give myself free lockpicks through cheats if I wanted unlimited retries
>>719858189I never did just brute forced it. I still refuse to do it that way because it's retarded
>>719858189It was explained in a preview of the game. Since I'm a real fan(tm) I already knew that when it launched
>>719858189The answer is in the palm of your hand or something.
>>719858625the key shapes are all the same so the combination is the real key
>>719861713>do a playthrough where I read every note/book I come across naturallyit's actually kino, ended up having a proper, organized library in my house with my favorite books and a desk with all of the important/notable notes.Shame the ingame dialogue/story is so dogshit.
>>719858285spbp /thread
you can read about it in the diary of the guy who stole it
>>719858625Because you could guess the former rather quickly when it comes to a three digit combination with only three images per digit, on a dungeon door any one random adventurer could access over a period of millennia?
>>719858625maybe because i don't want to keep someone outmaybe because i want to keep someone inside
>>719858189as a kid i just kept rotating the puzzle doors until they opened. needless to say i found them really annoying at the time
>>719858189At least you figured out the code was on the claw, a lot of people didn't even catch "the palm of your hand" as a hint.
I know it's a joke but it took me like 80 hours to realise you could rotate the models on the loading screens too, it would probably be easier to figure out on controller
>>719858189The loading tooltips tell you
>>719858189it's impossible to know it at the first playthrough and everyone claiming they did are lyingbut the puzzle is retard easy it is solvable without it

>>719858189I think you couldn't even rotate it in the 1.0 version>captcha: KAAAW
>>719867078They showed off the claw being rotated in the gameplay previews before the game fucking released.

>>719858189It's a puzzle designed for stupid people. A reasonable person would not even consider checking it because writing code on a key makes no sense.
I've been stuck on this puzzle for 1hr and I'm about ready to give up on this game.
>>719867706What were they thinking?
>>719858189Trivial easy puzzle.
>>719858189Because it was one of the biggest advertised features of the game
>>719858367thats what i did
>>719867623Is that how you cope at night?
>>719866914I'm not very bright
>>719870121It's fine. Everyone has to start somewhere. You have 3 possible choices in 3 places so the total number of possible combinations is 3 * 3 * 3. Next time you face such a problem approarch it like that.
>>719867706Wait a minute that card
>>719858285>>719858325>>719867203>>719868457ill admit it took me a bit to figure it out, just did trial and error to get through the door. wasnt until i saw a post on /v/ mentioning it. I'm generally a pretty good gamer who doesnt struggle with puzzles at all. The thing that confused me about this is that the previous games didnt have a method or reason to individually inspect every item 3d model so it never even struck me as a possibility. It was a new and rather random mechanic that had never been explained in the game at all. If todd talked about it then whatever, but myself and a lot of others who intentionally went into it as blind as possible would have missed it. To me it felt like a lot of early minecraft where the only way to really learn some of the shit was to read notch's dev blog and talk about it on /v/ - there was no real system in game to learn about the shit naturally.
>>719864108loading tool tips are random. its entirely possible to play through several hours of the game and well past that quest without seeing that tip. also loading tips are hardly seen by people with fast computers.
to be fair you have to have a very high iq to understand skyrim
>>719862952nobody on /v/ reads the books in the elder scrolls games
>>719858189Feel like you'd have to be brain dead to not figure it out.
>>719862952iirc the book just says something about the claw being a key but doesnt explain theres a new fucking game mechanic that lets you inspect the 3d objects.
I had probably like 20 hours in doing anything other than the main quest so I completely forgot that the spinning items in your inventory was a thing. Can you blame me though? The mechanic isn't literally used in anything else other than these claw ''puzzles''
how the fuck am I supposed to know I can press down to move the barrel
The issue is having gameplay elements that are used for one thing and one thing only. There's absolutely nothing else in the game that needs you to rotate or inspect an object apart from these doors.
Wait a minute that claw
>>719874318>Now I just need to get to the Hall of Stories and unlock the door. The legend says there is a test that the Nords put in place to keep the unworthy away, but that "when you have the golden claw, the solution is in the palm of your hands." even if you can't inspect it, you can still see the symbols on it
>>719878178It isn't always angled facing you
>>719878269it is
>>719878178what >>719878269 said. I did originally look but the claw was angled away from me on my first playthrough and there are no buttons indicating that you can manipulate the object in the menu. I did actually look at it but it didnt give me anything. It really was one of those things where if you didn't watch the marketing stuff for the game or were told by someone that you'd think of looking for or checking. If I had been brand new to the series I might have tried, but having played morrowind and oblivion before hand, like many others I never considered to bother checking. Be honest with yourself, did you see the marketing about the feature or the threads on /v/ when you first played or did you just naturally figure out that you could rotate objects in your inventory despite it never being explained anywhere.
>>719878536>>719878398it's always facing youit's tilted but you cans still see the symbols on it
>>719878674i dont have time to boot up the game right now, but no, it is not always facing you.
>>719878730and i dont have the patience to argue with retards on mongolian kids cartoon website
>>719858189I feel like I probably figured it out after noticing you can rotate the models on the loading screenHowever I just brute forced that "puzzle" since there's not that many combinations
>>719858189Anon has the brain capacity of a draugr.>>719867623Lorewise they are braindead because they are only supposed to keep the undead in.Now why the dungeon designs have most of them outside the dragon claw doors is another story.
