Use the plasma pistol in combination with the magnum, the MA5B is a death sentence because effective use requires you to get close to hose enemies with it, which is where enemies are at their most dangerous on legendary.

I remember the first time I played it I was on Normal, it was pretty hard but eventually I got through, and the last level or two were even too easy. So for Halo 2 I decided to up the difficulty to Heroic because usually the first game is the hardest and I was playing on MCC so it was a remaster, how hard could it be. lmfao
