>game gives your amazing abilities and skill during the story
>gives you a bad ending if you use those skills and abilities

what the fuck is this retarded game design??
>>
>>719952701
Bioshock does this too.
>>
Felt like this when playing RDR2. You can rob stagecoaches, stores, hold up people, etc. but you are penalized for doing any of those things so much that most people never do them.
>>
>>719952701
>>719952740
>>719952762
this is why you dont play games that have a "moralfag" system
>>
>>719952762
poor bait
>>
It's called adjusting the difficulty to your playstyle and encouraging you to play a far more difficult playstyle. If you can't cope with that then it is a skill issue. Do both runs, why the fuck do you care about a shitty slideshow cutscene at the end?
>>
>this thread AGAIN
>>
I don't understand the point of having these same threads over and over again
Even if you're training bots, what's the point? What's the point of training a bot to be very effective (or at least inflammatory) at arguing about Dishonored?
>>
>>719952701
why does it matter what ending you get?
>>
>I did not play the game
1. You need to kill A LOT of people and make chaos choices to get the "bad" ending
2. The game actively adapts to your playstyle by spawning more enemies for you to kill
3. The high chaos ending is way more kino
Kys spammer
>>
>>719952901
not really, you you kill more than 20% of enemies in every level you will get the bad ending
>>
>>719952846
money
>>
>Same thread over and over and over again, literally only a couple of hours apart
What mental illness is this?
>>
>>719952701
You get the ending you deserve.
>>
UUUOOOOHHH I want to cum inside Emily
>>
>>719953110
Yes,I did say that you'd need to kill dozens to get the high chaos ending
>>
>>719952701
>further destabilize a country that's already going through a crisis
>"Wtf why are things worse?"
>>
>>719952701
Dishonored 1 is in my top 5 but yeah I agree with your criticism.
Luckily they managed to fix this in the sequel by offering a lot of non lethal powers.
>>
>>719953370
A flat number is pretty meaningless with a proportion for context. I dunno why you'd admit it's as little as 20%.
>>
>>719953370
20% is high?
>>
>>719954526
without a proportion*
>>
>>719952701
who cares if you get a "bad ending", it's a video game you faggot
>>
>>719954953
How would you feel if you did not have breakfast this morning?
>>
>>719952701

makes perfect sense. all those corpses you left behind made the plague worse

>yes the game design is bad and flawed
>but why do you care chud?
>why do you care about the game story chud?

what mental illness is this? if you dont care about the story just go play aim trainer games on steam

I don't understand why they gave emily such retarded powers in dishonoured 2 if we're meant to try and choose between her or corvo for 1st playthrough
genuinely how could anyone play Emily when she has that hand tentacle jump thing? It's absolutely shit compared to corvos quick and clean blink. Distance was way shorter than blink and the flinging enemies was a coin toss on stealth. It won't stop time and if I recall correctly only slows down time while jumping, and that time slow is worse than corvos blink barring complete time stop.
Maybe I messed myself up playing as Corvo first but replaying the game as Emily, I took a few minutes with the far reach then just switched it out for blink. Felt like I was cheating myself out of the way Emily's run was meant to be played. But fuckijg hell far reach is so shit.
Shadow walk is super cool though, made wanna reinstall darkness

You don't want a discussion, you just want to bitch about a 13 year old game.I played the game like a murderhobo and watched the "good" ending on YouTube. Not to mention the good ending isn't even cannon according to Dishonored 2
>>
You need both endings to really beat the game anyway (platinum).
The real problem with dishonoured is the dunwall city trials dlc. That thing is the worst piece of shit I’ve ever seen and it dropped an 8/10 game to a 1/10.
>>
>>719955441
>i watched it on Youtube

thats all i need to know about you
>>
>>719955281
you can just use corvo's blink instead in NG+ and still use the shadow hand for grabbing shit
>>
I played with
>try to sneak but you're only allowed to kill niggas, no knock outs
rule and still got a good ending despite being noticed pretty often and I invested in all the fun shit because I knew I'd get spotted often and was fine killing 3-4 guards just to go through the door. You'd have to kill way too many guards to get a bad ending.
>>
>>719955281
You can slingshot yourself across the map with Far reach.
just a fucking shame most of it is corridored off.

The complaint hold water because of Samuel
>fairly likeable character during the low chaos route
>have to watch him turn on your and get disgusted by you if you want to actually have fun with the game
People responding to this will always struggle to grasp that a writer does in fact have control in how they go about writing a character in a story.
>>
>>719955729
>if you want to actually have fun with the game
That's how you lose the argument, because I have way more fun ghosting than I do otherwise. You're trying to state Metal Gear games are better played as GTA shooters but you can't do that because Snake is judged negatively if he enjoys the killing
>>
>>719955729
>if you want to actually have fun
You don't dictate how I can have fun, nigger
>>
>>719955867
>because I have way more fun ghosting than I do otherwise
It's not Thief. If there was that much depth as a stealth game then maybe. But you very quickly realise that most of the fun to be had in the game really was on the violent/action side of things.
>>
>>719954527
Killing 20% of people every level is a high total, yes.
>>719955252
>the game design is bad and flawed because I don't understand it and can't imagine myself playing a game more than once, so I want the ending where I'm headpatted and called a good boy
What a fag lol
>>
>>719955575
I had 10 hours of murder fun,I win
>>
>>719956098
>not even quarter
>>
>>719952701
What is the issue with having a bad ending? The game changes to fit even more your gameplay? Are you sad because you're not the hero?
>>
>>719956073
>It's not Thief
And yet it marks whether you get alarms or are seen in the stats screen
>most of the fun to be had in the game really was on the violent side of things
Sounds like a (You) issue you then took personally
>>
>>719955252
You realize the story isn't game design?
>>
>>719956285
>Yes, a story is an integral part of game design, though its importance varies by genre and game. Game design encompasses not only mechanics and rules but also the narrative experience, with narrative design specifically focusing on how players interact with and experience the story through gameplay.

dont talk to me again
>>
>>719956186
Nah didn't you hear? The murder route isn't the fun route now.

dishonoured 2 was an annoying game in general down to the writing
>how do we set up this penultimate mission?
>ok so the player has to deal with the corrupt duke
>but of course there's a non violent resolution, this is dishonoured after all
>whats the non violent solution?
>lets drop this fucking body double that knows everything the duke knows, for some reason, even the important shit
>yeah this duke double is actually a really good guy
>just do a little switcheroo and thats it you've supplanted the new duke with ZERO troublke
>you've saved serkonos :)
>no one goes hungry again, the people are happy, because this random double they found is actually a really good leader

FUCK OFFF YA LAZY BASTARDS!!!!!!! still loved the game
>>
>>719956523
Sounds like the one that has issues with the game is you, not the game with itself.
