automation games threadwhy is factorio still THE fucking best and why you are playing a hidden gem no one knows about?????
>>719955570I have MoteMancer and Plan B: Terraform in my wishlist.MoteMancer is still in early access so I'm not even looking at that until 1.0 but Terraform is out but I'm hesitant.
>>719955570Playing this rn.Surprisingly fun, too bad the product lines are elementary at best.
Because it's been in development for ten years you dumb mong. The thing that comes closest is DSP, but it's been hindered by its own engine for long enough, too. If someone were to make a somewhat decent automation game, they'd be retarded enough to use unreal engine for it. See Shartisfactory.
>>719957617retard alerti repeat, retard alert
>>719955951played the EA, was alright
waiting for endfield because factorio is too hard for me
>>719955570Factorio is the best because nothing else good ever gets to 1.0 Everything is stuck in early access
>>719958182>he got filtered
I enjoy Dyson Sphere and it kind of makes me feel like what Spore's Space Age should have been like. It still needs a lot of work though. I think what makes Factorio really stand out is how slick it is. It looks good. It feels good to play. It's very intuitive. Everything just works.
>>719955570any good VR game like factorio/satisfactory etc?
>>719955570>i was told to play No Mans Sky because it had factory game aspects
>>719955649>plan bI wish these cocksuckers would keep their demo up. Factorio is the only factory game I can think of that kept a demo version updated through all development.
>>719959471Dyson sphere isn't very hard but the amazing visuals more than make up for it. The sense of scale is fantastic. Hopefully whenever they get around to 1.0 they tighten up the research tree and make the stuff after you unlock warpers more interesting. Hopefully the space station is cool.
>>719959471it's good but the chinese devs are fucking around a lot
>>719955570The developer is an autist who actually gives a shit about optimization. That shit's vital. It's an automation game. You are supposed to scale shit up. When you try to scale shit up and the game suddenly starts running like shit, you get disappointed. Not with Factorio. You need to do shit that is outside of most people's sense of scale to run into performance issues. And that's just on toasters. Shit's great.
>>719955570it's well adjusted enough. I kinda with there were more than one way to play but this way is satisfying enough.
Was considering buying it until I found out the dev retroactively jacked up the price for no good reason. Now I will make a point to never buy or support any of their games and to point out the price hike at every opportunity.
>>719960089world leaders tanked all their currencies for no good reason.
>>719960089The grocery stores did it too.
>>719960329>food analogy
>>719960089>retroactivelyYou don't know what words mean.
>was going to buy it butNo you weren't. You never were. Its been out for over a decade
>>719961268Kovarex literally reached inside my asshole to pull out another 5 dollars even though I already paid him.
>>719955570>why is factorio still THE fucking best?????Because it uses 2D sprites, instead of sacrificing performance for graphics.
>>719962427despite being 2d the switch can barely run the base game and can't run space age
>>719955570factorio is still the only worthwhile game in the entire genre
>>719960089>never buy or support their gamesWhat till you find out about their sales policy >point out the price hikeIts not a secret. They made a big dev blog post about it. They even said it might happen again someday. Anyways you deserve it for not buying it in 2019 when the /v/ threads first started
>>719964256Why would you play a game like Factorio on the switch? lmao
>>719959368>>719959676>>719959829>>719962427>>719964475>factorio is the only-you are retarded fucking faggots and you need to commit suicide asap.
I can’t stop playing shapez 2I just get to build factories and train lines and not have to worry about crafting or resources or train signalsYou just build and route
>>719966686seemed aimless when i played last year, wasn't much of a factory since you would tear everything down for a different shape, i know they've added more structure since then
>>719966952They’re working on a new mode where the emphasis is on making permanent factories that you work to optimize and expand over time and launch the products with rockets
>>719960089see you in a year when the base game costs $40
