Which do you prefer and why?
>>
Quake 4 was always the Doom 3 that people actually wanted, but for some reason none of them ever actually played it.

Doom 3 by far

Faggot NOBODY liked Quake 4, it wasn't even an id game. "For some reason" because it was a fucking call of duty mod that feels nothing like a quake game. You're locked out from RUNNING until halfway into the game when you transform.

Never ended up playing Quake 4 since it looked like crap.
Doom 3 was better than people gave it credit for, it just wasn't really Doom
>>
Doom 3, it was groundbreaking in almost every way
Quake 4 plays like an expansion pack for Doom 3. Had some cool parts no doubt, but mid overall.
>>
HEY GUYS DO YOU REMEMBER THE STROGG TRANSFORMATION SCENE IN QUAKE 4
I SURE DO
>>
>>719961319
and all i remember from doom 3 was not being able to see anything
>>
I loved Doom 3's atmosphere. Having to swap to the flashlight to see wasn't that big a deal for me.

Doom 3. The forced vehicle sections in Quake 4 really brought the game down for me.
>>

Neither? Gimme HL2 or F.E.A.R.
>>
>>719961319
everybody remembers that about quake 4 while nobody remembers anything about doom 3. hell i even remember more about this first person scene of that terrible doom movie than doom 3

I just remember Doom 3 being really repetitive. It was like instead of making something interesting for the middle part of the game they just stretched out the first stage to last for 90% of the game, almost every stage is the same. I like it more than Quake 4 though.

Flashlight swapping really gave it a lot of extra personality. I can't think of any other game with this mechanic.

I like Doom 3 for it's atmosphere. While not quite a horror game, it is a 'tension' game. You're always on edge. Shame about the shotgun, but the weapon roster is great.

I like Quake 4 for it's straightforwardness. While it's almost an on-rails shooter, it's a great on-rails shooter. One of the few games you could call a movie-game that properly marries the two mediums.

I like and occasionally replay both.

I like boomershooters so much, I'm gonna marry them.

Quake 4. Doom 3 has some of the cheapest mob placements I ever saw in a fucking video game. It is so fucking cheesy that I forced myself to finish it. I completed Q4 on very hard difficulty at least 5 times so far and enjoyed it every time.
