Even the mission you'd think would be you supporting the filthy soil vermin will still have some dog fighting in it, so the A-10 and the other one are kind of crap. There are multi-roles that can do those missions better and not be gimped in the dogfighting department.

It's a 5 for honestly compared to project wingman, but it's better than Zero and AC5. The series is mid all around and it only does good because there's not many like it in it's area. I'm not even sure if you could call War Thunder an arcade flight game.

Literally finished it this week for no reason at all. I really liked the campaign up until the very last moment where suddenly UFO tier drones are in play and you have an arcadey boss fight against them inside a tower.... As a F22 stealth fighter...I played the entire game in cockpit view. Weirdly enough the target bombing levels were the highlight for me, dogfights were cool but the drone dogfights felt a bit useless to me. I liked the "rival" 1-on-1 dogfights a lot even though it's ridiculously scripted to the point of 6 rockets not destroying his jet.Also this is the first ace combat I played and the story was straight up trash. I was led to believe the story was great. The mission briefings were good but the weird cinematics with the rebel lady and anime-ized white princess lady were ridiculously bad and I wish I had skipped them in retrospect.I will absolutely play Ace Combat 8 and I consider the game to be a 9/10. I might even play earlier entries.
