The boss itself becomes a background prop and doesn't deal contact damage, but I'm supposed to know that the explosion will, even though most people's instincts are to stay near the boss to watch the cool death animation?Again, nobody moves one screen away from the boss after they die because they wanna see the death scene.Maybe if the smoke had more "fire" particles, which the player probably associates with an attack, I could understand. But just the smoke is not enough to discern this.
