Too bad most people won't get the chance to play this, but this gaming is fucking awesome.
By far the best story in the Arkham games.

Is it worth it to play on pc instead of native quest 3 for the visuals? Or not much of a difference?

City is the best Arkham and I'm tired of being told I'm wrong. Hopefully LEGO Legacy does prove me wrong though.

The VA for Gordon said they're making another one, I hope they focus on environmental gameplay; seemed like a missed opportunity because there was one combat encounter where you could lead enemies onto a shock pad, but that's about it from what I recall
>>
>>720063532
>City is the best Arkham
In what aspect?
If it's gameplay, then that's Knight
If it's story then that's either Asylum or Origins
As much as I love City, I'm not sure what aspect it does the best

>>720067280
Oh no gookbros, don't look at Harley's hand

>>720066947
I'm not sure, but I think you can play Arkham VR downloading the steam link in your Quest 3.
>>
>>720067280
I hope it's a story focused DLC and it's about The Long Halloween, to close Harvey's character arc and him becoming the two face.
It will be interesting when normies discover the Holiday Killer wasn't Alfredo or Harvey, but Gilda all along
>>
>>720067631
>As much as I love City, I'm not sure what aspect it does the best
That's easy: Original Soundtrack.

Making Arkham games that takes place after Origins is the best thing to do now.
There is a big gap between Origins and Asylum. Just think of many possibilities you could do
>Batman's first encounter with League of Assassins
>Batman and Robin (Dick Grayson) working together, and both have their own side missions
>Riddler being the main villian instead of a side villian
>Scarecrow having a proper boss fight again just like Asylum
Just please bring back Paul Dini or other veteran Batman writer.
Also retcon Jason's backstory in Arkham Knight and make it just like in the comics, because it's honestly pretty retarded

>>720068552
>spoiler
Anon, Alberto is already Holiday in Arkham Origins in one of the audio logs, and it's way better than whatever the fuck Jeph Loeb was trying to do in the comics.
>>
>>720068841
>Anon, Alberto is already Holiday
It's not confirmed. Arkham Origins extortion files revealed he had psycholgical treatments, not that he was already a murderer.
Also, in the comics he assumes the Holiday Killer persona, though he is not the author of most assassinations, only 1 if I remember

Also, there's a margin for a Holiday Killer closure at the end of Year 3. A possible DLC could start as Batman and Gordon revisiting the previous murders starting at the Halloween before the Christmas riots (Year 2). It's also a perfect opportunity to finish the Two-Face arc, ending said DLC on Year 3 Dec, 31.
>>
>>720069357
I haven't played Arkham Shadow, but I think the whole Gilda being Holiday is just so stupid in comic. Hell the whole comic is stupid too. How come the World's Greatest Detective wasn't able to solve any of the murders?
At least with Origins, Holiday being an alternate persona for Alberto makes more sense
>>
>>720070212
In the context of Arkham Shadow, everyone thinks Falcone ordered Malone to disfigure Harvey, so even more of a reason for her to keep killing Falcone's family and Falcone himself.

Also, Gilda being a psychopath herself, using her extensive knowledge from Harvey's files and to kill Falcone's family and associates to "help" her husband in a distorted way, later using them to kill Falcone himself for what she thinks he did to her husbands makes a lot of sense to me.
>>
>>720070212
>Hell the whole comic is stupid too. How come the World's Greatest Detective wasn't able to solve any of the murders?
Well, if you think about it, every crime scene in the Arkhamverse is solved by Batman because the perpetrator was sloppy, leaving marks or chemical traces that can be followed. In case of Holiday, the Killer comes, shots usually just one victim, leaves the cleaned gun and a leaving a souvenir
So, it's possible for Gilda to have an extensive knowledge in forensic investigation to elude the Police.
In short, IMO it's very possible that the Holiday Killer in the Arkhamverse will be at least 3 different people taking the mantle: Alberto, Harvey and Gilda, every one of them at a certain period, thus confusing Batman.

Look, no matter how you put it, it's just so stupid.
A random housewife was able to carry murders on mobsters and their family, and also had untraceable guns. Add to the fact Batman wasn't able solve any of the murders at all
You have to go through some hoops to make sense some of the murders too
At least with Alberto, it makes sense if you believe Falcone ordered the murders since it was those that may get in the way

Anyway, they should do Holiday as a follow up to Shadow but keep up what Origins did.
>>
>>720072269
Well, Gilda is Harvey's wife. I wouldn't be surprised if she was a Lawyer herself, with extensive knowledge on forensic. This can be stated in Arkhamverse. Usualyl university is when couples meet anyway.
The murders didn't leave much space for traces to be followed by Batman, few shots, cleaned gun, cleaned souvenir. Even in Arkham City Batman needed a couple of murders to catch a sloppy Deadshot, and Hush.
About your last point, Holiday is the closure of Harvey's arc to become Two-Face. Holiday must be an unwilling shared personna between Gilda, Harvey and Alberto. Gilda is central.
>>
>>720072804
If they're gonna go with Gilda being Holiday which I doubt it, they should change a lot of shit from the comic to make sense, mostly background information
Also City was Hush's first encounter with Batman
>>
>>720073319
They will have to change a lot of things. In the comics, Harvey was disfigured by Maroni, now it's "Malone" (Crane, actually).
Also, in a possible Arkhamverse The Long Halloween, Gilda definetly wont be just a housewife.
>Also City was Hush's first encounter with Batman
It also applies to Holiday. Sure, the murders went on for more than one year, but it's not like Batman can solve everything at the first crime. Besides, if they share the identity as it happens in the comics, although unwillingly, it will also further confuses Batman

The tension of having to choose between Talia and the inmates as Alfred kept reminding Bruce Batman have to save everyone was top moments in the series.
>>
>>720063103
I really wish this would get a non-Quest version or even adapted into a non-VR game. It's really good but it's not worth spending $300 on a Quest 3.
>>
>>720079058
Unlikely, since Meta funded the game. Best scenario would be for you to wait the sequel that will only come out with Quest 4, and if you want to play at least you will have a more extended list of games.
>>
>>720076824
True, City has the most iconic theme of the lot too.
>>
>And now a completely new entry in the world of Batman Arkham
>A meta quest 3 VR exclusive
I don't think I will ever get over this.
>>
Long Halloween, Dark Victory and Hush are all bad. We agree on this, right? They're entertaining enough to read but they all fall flat at the finale and having endings where Batman, world's greatest detective, is left bamboozled by a nonsensical twist is objectively bad for a Batman story.
>>
>>720083137
Eventually the suits at WB will want to port it for the extra money, surely. They have a legal duty to their shareholders after all.

Hush yes, the others no. TLH in particular is great, it's just not great because of its center mystery. Their preceding one-shots are arguably better than TLH on account of not being beholden to a continuous narrative, though.

On a side note, I love how they use the same three voice actors for the thugs. Just one of the things that gives the Arkham games its own identity
>>
>>720088696
>knight has more fidelity
Actually, Knight has the least fidelity IMO.
It lacks tall art deco buildings Gotham is known for.
They should have added them on the landscape at least to keep the identity of the City.
>>
>>720063532
Having replayed both in the last week, I prefer Asylum. There are aspects that City does better, of course, but I like how Asylum acts as a guided tour of the Batman universe. It just feels more focused.

I've never played Origins. I might do that next.
>>
>>720087103
Can you explain this chemistry that catwoman and batman? I personally find it hard to comprehend why a hardline enforcer like Batman would make exceptions just for pussy.

>>720093397
It's a very nice pussy doe
>>
>>720063103
>By far the best story in the Arkham games.
You can't be serious, did you forget Bruce Wayne has a newly introduced black woman tutor who took care of him since he was a child and knows he is batman too? and bosses him around too, and batman pretends to some sort of undercover criminal goon to get inside blackgate in the most boring sections of the game where you are not playing as batman
>>
>>720093397
>I personally find it hard to comprehend why a hardline enforcer like Batman would make exceptions just for pussy.
Because
1) She only steals from corrupt people and doesn't harm innocent people in the process
2) She does help Batman from time to time, so she's more of an ally
I also like how in Long Halloween, Bruce and Selina know each other, and Selina ended saving Bruce from Poison Ivy without knowing that he's Batman
>>
>>720095074

Leslie Thompkins is an established character in the comics.

One of the main reasons I want The Long Halloween adapted by camouflaj, either as an Arkham Shadow DLC or a sequel.
Great opportunity for the development of Bruce-Selina, Bruce-Harvey, Bruce-Grayson, Bruce-Babs, even Bruce-Gordon...
Some changes will have to be made to fit Arkham Shadow's plot, but mostly remains untouched.
