Iron Man is allowed to fly fast because naturally he's sort of a glass cannon. While Storm is more limited in mobility, even with her speed buff in the wind state, she at least makes up for it with offense thanks to the thunder state and primary.

Ultron has a slow rate of fire, ONE dodge, and a minor shield buff. Thats it. Outside of that, he's slow as shit. You'd think he'd have more self preservation abilities, but you're kinda at the mercy of drone proximity to the point where the vertical mobility/flight becomes irrelevant.

It's a toss up but only marginally better than what it used to be. Simple fact is its the least popular role, and even if you get 2 tanks the other isn't pairing up with you. What's even more infuriating is Duelists simply refuse to pocket tanks and finish off the weaker enemies you're harassing. Duelists will also chase down 1v1 other duelists or healers, or just camp in a fucking doorway not pushing up with their tanks.

We really don't talk enough about how stats are often misconstrued. Like for example a high death count for a tank doesn't always mean they didn't do their job, it could mean that the team wasn't pushing up enough, or that duelists weren't taking advantage of their frontline harassment, or even healers not doing their jobs. On the other end of it, a bad healer can have an insane heal score but all they did was juice the tank, or perhaps they did zero offense when people were topped off. A poor healer score could also mean bad comp depending on who's on the team, or simply a duelist's fault for not helping the backline with divers.

Well it's hard to say because I don't know exactly what all is considered in the MVP/SVP score. However I will give it some credit because its not purely about Kill/Death score, but also how the ults impact the enemy or simply by being on the objective.

And that's another fucking thing, objective. That's what matters, not your stupid CoD kill score. How so many players neglect this is beyond me. I've seen games where the enemy clearly did better on the KOs/Deaths, but still lost. Quit over pushing, or running back to their goddamn spawn room. I have more respect for healers than I do DPS players. Duelists are the most whiny, toxic, quick to blame players in the entire community, and often the shittiest players I find. Yeah I have no evidence for this but I have a theory that DPS players tend to play the fewest variety of characters because I notice they rarely swap either. If I'm DPS I usually play Iron Man but if the other team has a half decent Spiderman I know I'm gonna get my shit pushed in so I swap. But I've seen other IM and flyers just get wrecked but not swap.

I dunno how to fix any of this besides a mandatory IQ test but a lotta players forget it's a team game somehow

Venom's damage is kinda shit yea, but out of all the tanks in the game Venom is the ONLY one that "feels" like a tank. He can dive, cause a bunch of chaos, take a fuck load of damage and then nope the fuck out when things get too hairy. Depends what you're into and what character. I tell people to check out event books even if most aren't great simply because it introduces you to a lot of characters and concepts at once. From there you can look into what grabs you more. DC has their Absolute line out right now, which its basically their version of the Marvel Ultimate, but you really only get the most out of those books if you're already familiar with mainline lore, so they may not be great starter books.

I don't know what you're into but I can at least try to think of some stuff if you narrow it down

NTA but I get it. Most of the themed skins talked about here are either paid store skins or from the Chinese New Year event which I think caused some confusion here when Battlepass is mentioned. It is getting a bit excessive I'll admit considering I have no doubts next year there will be another CNY event though I've accepted that it's par for the course considering the developers country. That said the Battle passes always had some deviations from a set theme. Like weren't Ninja dude Spiderman and Punk Squirrel girl in the same set?

My radical take is this. Turn Spiderman into a Strategist.
Make his webs reloadable. Make it so he uses his smarts to add new properties to his Web (which he has done in comics) so he can shoot webs at his allies to give them shielding with you being able to hold down the button to adjust the strength of the web before it wears off. And the same if he shoots at enemies which slows them instead.

Exactly, anon. People keep conflating the shop skins and event crap with the actual Battlepass themes. Just because there's overlap doesn't mean it's all one giant CNY drop. Like yeah, Dragon Widow and Baihu Iron Fist were store-only, and they dropped months ago. The Battlepass this season is centered specifically on Immortal Beasts from K’un-Lun mythos, not lunar fireworks and red envelopes.

Also yeah, they’ve never kept to a rigid thematic line with these passes. Ninja Spidey, Punk Squirrel Girl, and even that medieval MODOK skin were all slapped into the same Battlepass back in S3, so there's precedent. If anything, it's kinda fun how chaotic and semi-coherent it always is. Keeps us guessing.
