It's the most fun game I've played that straight up doesn't want to be played.
I can't eke out more than 30 fps when I'm just in the ship. Audio loves to cut out when it gets crazy (which is always). Sometimes lobby connectivity just stops working. My friend's entire computer crashes only with this game.
It needs a thorough performance & optimization patch, but the devs are not focusing on that, and so the game's becoming increasingly painful to play through

Marketing, art, design teams are A+/S+
They got owned quite early on post-release after everyone found out that interdepartmental communication was practically 0 after a bug was fixed the same day a warbond w/ items released that made it harder to use properly
As it stands it's funny - the game is exceptional, it's genuinely one of the best co-op games of the 2020's and will likely be remembered as such, and in recent memory they're actually doing GOOD work at handling the faux-'war' aspect of the game by giving out free stuff (the xbox launch had us get free spare stratagems to drop every day, while spawns were turned up to make things more hectic)
Optimization just needs work and there needs to be a bit of a longer devcycle for warbonds, I'd reckon, since there's things that're still a little broken that haven't been touched-up like the Epoch's reload being jittery and desynced

A lot of the game is people complaining or thinking that the meta is complaining compared to just learning how to combat things properly and dealing with the issues that arise (thankfully knowledge and experience can combat some of the bugs you'll encounter), but there's a lot more justified complaints than you may initially think outside-looking-in and there may yet be a time where another public apology-esque update gets released
I reckon it's Sony/executives doing the usual gaming shiz where the devteams aren't given time to fix things up and HAVE to stick to deadlines as best as possible and have fought tooth-and-nail to ensure that major updates release in at least mostly-working state, though. You can never not blame an executive for being a stick in the spokes.

It's worth $40, but I'm never buying a warbond. I'll farm my SC, thank you very much. I also installed Nobara Linux to avoid the anticheat on my windows PC, but you can easily bypass that anyways on windows.
