Each version of these games in flawed in some way. All of them are overrated. UT spam is fucking gay. Even so, games are great and decapitations with fountains of blood are fun.

The sound bug for 2 only happens when your controller isn't making inputs. My left stick is super fucked to the point it doesn't return to center so I just let the drift walk Ryu into a wall while I go take a piss.Now the only time sound cuts is when I get to a clear screen and absentmindedly stop making inputs.
