Wow, the contrast between this boss and the rest of the game is crazy, it's as if there was a different team that designed this one. It's really fast, pretty hard, you have to be locked in, if you die you respawn in front of the entrance of the boss and it only deals 1 CONTACT DAMAGE. Actually fun to fight.

I genuinely can't imagine trying to play Steel Soul in a game where it's standard for enemies and traps to do 2 damage and health upgrades are almost nonexistent. I'm just imagining the number of ways you can die by getting double-tapped for 4 damage during a single moment of fatigue or lapse in judgment. I always laugh at people's SS stories because you get people going "omg yeah I lost a 26 hour save file because i tried <risky thing> at 2 hp I thought I had one more try at it!" But in Silksong the only safe HP level is max fucking HP. Everything lower than that is in run-ending range.

I spent yesterday struggling with the savage beastfly thing too many times to count before I gave up and continued with the game, then came back today and killed him in 3 tries. It was all luck with not getting the bigger adds to spawn and killing him fast enough in the first phase without him spawning too many adds.
