I played Delta Force’s extraction shooter mode for the first time the other day, that was my first exposure to the extraction mode. It was absolute ass. Battle Royales have an immediate fun factor, but extraction is awful. If Bungie think they’ve struck gold or something with the genre, Im hard pressed to believe them.

I get 16 years old third worlds at an internet cafe wanting to shit on people with hacks and a new gun, but the average person?They can’t bring the gun into a boss fight, they can’t show it off in casual PvP, they can’t create anything with the loot like a wardrobe or whatever. The PvP interactions are way too tense, and people get disconnected immediately from the pressure. Bungie have a lot of fucking work to do and that’s inherent in the genre, to say nothing of their own game.
