Not a fan of more modern platinum games' gameplay but this one always has a place in my heart.Most of the gameplay is actually a bunch of sway-spamming through a good chunk of enemy combos and probably the biggest detractor is the button-mashing sections, even if you cheese it by rolling your hand on all the buttons, there's a lot of it and I can see why people opt for HSK spam against a wall.The real kicker is that while the main square combo can be made with any move there's also just no reason to do that with the slower moves. It's funny but it's also kind of retarded they let you do that and it ends up clogging the moveset list.Played it until my hands bled on my shitty madcatz controller now it just collects dust on my shelf.

>>720203140In my experience most of the genuine difficulty came from the overwhelming difficulty of level DIE, however after a while it was much easier to adapt to since everything moved at one speed (fast, but still one speed).Normal difficulty was worse than Hard for me, because of how the difficulty would fluctuate, change enemy behavior and their attacks. It made it difficult to adjust to the rhythm changing constantly. Yes, I could use the grovel to turn down the difficulty, no that doesn't really solve my gripe with it.I've played a shitload of it, you do get used to the camera/controls, know where enemies are, use the radar etc. I still never got used to difficulty swaps mid-fight, even when I screwed up and the game slows down the different rhythm would completely fuck me up sometimes.I came to grips with the game easier by playing on Easy and still doing the arena fights. The game is too unstable on Normal. Hard is easier than Normal for me.

>>720201814The player's obviously trying to unlock the C-side music disc, which you can only do by beating the game with the Kick Me! sign on Gene's back. The first time you use the Roulette Wheel or your super mode, the sign will fall off, so you have to beat the game with basic attacks - which means fighting very conservatively, since you don't have specials to flatten big groups.
I got my ass beaten and drop it but I like the humour, enemies and gameplay, great game
