got a pink 3DS from Japan for like $30 a few years ago that seller had 3 different 3DS listings up and the pink one was the cheapest. There was a blue and a white unit and their prices went up to like $80 but no one wanted the pink one. The seller didn't wipe the data and there was even a game inside of it still.
