Retconning 3 and 4 sounded like a terrible idea desu, a reboot with a new cast was really the only way to go

I honestly didn't hate it, BUT it was the buggiest game I have ever played and I beat Skyrim when it launched on PS3.
>>
What do you like about the game besides the 'good idea' of rebooting it? Can you name anything about the gameplay? Maybe the story, a character you think is particularly funny?

There's a whole community out there dedicated to the enjoyment of watching women literally shit in each others' mouths. Stands to reason that some gamers enjoy getting shit on, too. Makes sense.

The idea that the middle aged antagonist would want to kidnap a gang of insufferable zoomers and force them to be his friends was pretty funny.

After Agents of Mayhem, it was obvious Volition were utterly clueless on where to take this series next, but this game proved just how far gone they were and couldn't be saved. They also absolutely deserve their fate after lying to a dying man.

Sounds retarded.

not OP but I like GTA clones and the more open ended progression in saints row games of doing side activities and buying/upgrading properties is my favorite gameplay loop for an open world
the heist quests and invention testing missions were my favorites. unlocking new let's pretend stores and garages swith new cosmetics was also fun

>a reboot with a new cast was really the only way to go
True, but I have no problem with that part.
>>
>>720260495
i liked the map. the game itself was fine, it was literally just saints row 3. the writing was truly abysmal in every way. the dusty desert city setting was cool, but everything felt off. the game looks more like the sims than it does saints row.

They opened up the entire universe in SRIV. They could create an totally new setting game after game after game with endless planetary possibilities and extraterrestrial hijinks.

Shadowbringers did that with FFXIV and is still heralded as the best content the game has to offer. And when they attempted to reboot the story (Dawntrail), it's universally acknowledged as the worst.

you're a trans loving faggot.

You guys need to let it go. Your studio closed, you were fired, the game sucked and the franchise is dead, so what's the point of keeping the shilling alive? What do you get from this?
>>
>>720261458
If the company isn't alive anymore they're not being paid to market anything. Being unemployed means just that. You can't even be an employed shill if your company is dead, likewise unemployed shill. But perhaps there is a point to make about how that video released recently with Volition employees was all about making excuses for why their reputation was soured.

I dunno you have rare cases of literal unemployed shills that can't let go, like those who continue to shill prey 2017 despite it being pretty trash.

reboot was fine, just as cringe as the rest of them. The matchmaking/co-op was awful and unforgivable.

>a new cast was really the only way to go
Shame the new cast was insufferable

I had a little fun with the map and the air gliding with the wingsuit was enjoyable. The city felt almost like the original 2 games because of all the different clothing store. Nina has a nice ass in her Saints outfit.

That's the only positive stuff I can say.

This game had a lock on auto aim you couldn't completely disable, and the enemy's heads are bullet sponges. Also the character creator had only one single face preset that you can use to make a cute girl.

It also has this stupid bug where the streets become empty with 0 pedestrians and the only way to fix it is to reload the game.

The story was 1/10.

Retcon 3, 4 and GOOH, y'know the whole Earth being destroyed in 4 bit where you're stuck in Virtual Steelport and Hell where there really isn't anywhere else you can take the franchise outside of doing alien cities on other planets

Spider-Man: Return of the Sinister Six on NES... it's bettr than Insomniac's titles, get over it.

For me, I've always enjoyed mindlessly doing missions and doing stuff around the city.
Plus I'm a sucker for character customization and 3 and onwards never disappointed in that regard.
