This piece of shit loses 90% of features if you disconnect from the internet. I csnt even get achievements anymore.

I am NEVER owning a console again. I'm going full PC for good.

This universe unironically killed xbox for me. The system worked so fine on 360, then they made this always online abomination on the xbone. It’s not even worth doing shit offline, as it’s random from game to game what achievements
might pop when you go back online

Also you can’t back up your save files locally anymore; cloud only. Dumb as fuck
>>
>>720265228
I hate the fact that you can't even play your fucking games installed on it offline unless you've made the Xbox your home Xbox. It's fucking retarded.

Yep thank god gog exists. I'm never buying a console again.
>>

offline achievements have been meaningless since forever because they don't record the timestamp.
>>
>>720268774
they're saved locally until you get online, it's non issue unless you want to cheat achievements like you could on 360 or for some weird reason play offline and own multiple xboxes

>he's not connected to the internet 24/7/365
Third world thread, especially with that spelling.
>>
>>720265228
why the fuck would you buy a console when every game is on PC now?

That’s not true, some games absolutely don’t let you do achievements offline. THPS5 is an example of a game that won’t let you earn achievements offline then sync them on Xbox, but you can on PS4. It’s extra fucked because if you try to play this game online, it gives you an error because the servers are down. Meaning every achievement in this game, even single player stuff, is broken on Xbox.
And there are server outages all the time that make people replay parts of story mode games because their achievement didn’t pop. Check trueachievements forums if you don’t believe me

NTA but that sounds like less of a console's fault and more of the developer's fault
If you care so much about offline cheevos, then play on PC or Playstation then
>>
>>720273332
It does depend on the dev, but they fucked the whole system up by relying on some server checkin just to pop achievements.

Like I can go play the 360 version of THPS5 and earn achievements offline, reconnect to Xbox Live, and it’ll sync my unlocks that are saved to my account.
I can go play the Xbox One version offline, do the same achievement requirements, and pop nothing both offline and when I connect back to Live. Its fucking stupid.
>>
>>720273164
I was talking about saves obviously
>>
I bought a used one just to watch bluerays because streaming services are so shit nowadays and it would'nt let me finish setting up the console without an internet connection
>>
This doesn't happen with the pro. Why would you buy the poor version lmao
