I get the hateposts, but I still find it difficult to hate DD2 myself. I'm more baffled at the whole thing, though Itsuno did lie that's a fact so a lot of vitriol should go his way. I still enjoy playing the game, assembling a party and going on an adventure, killing monsters and camping - to me it will never get old.

I liked it. One could even say I blasted. Classic western fantasy doesn't really exist anymore and this game managed to give that to me in high quality, just a cool old fashioned party adventure. I do wish there was more, and months after release I was still waiting for DLC, but Capcom decided to regress to Crapcom and diverted all the resources to Monster Hunter which is a million times worse than this game. I wanted some more things out of it but would never say I was disappointed.
