Firis is cute.
Bump.
I liked her game. I wish there was no time limit. My favorite Atelier games are the ones that let you take your time and do everything instead of making you rush and wait til the endgame to enjoy yourself.
>>720317495Huh, that's exactly the case with Atelier Firis, the first half has a time limit and then if you pass the test, you are free for the reast of the game and don't have a time limit.
>>720317495Other way around for me. I find the entries without a time limit kind of boring. I like planning out efficient ways to do things, and making do with what I have instead of always having everything available. Resource gathering feels kind of meaningless if there's no limitation on it.
>>720319184This may be sacrilege to say, but I like Firis x Ilmeria better than Totori x Mimi despite the former pairing being a clone of the latter. It just feels way more balanced.
>>720319495Interesting, Totori x Mimi seems to be a lot more popular and not just here.
>>720319801Well duh, Firis sold a lot less than Totori.
>>720316492>>720319184Texans and bongs got v& just now, I hope you're proud of yourself.
I JUST LIKE TITS DESU
>>720316492I'm more of a Mimi person.
>>720320173Well, Firis has tits.>>720320259I haven't played Atelier Totori, I don't know if I'll play it.
>>720317927Yeah that's what I meant. I would enjoy her game even more if the time limit were removed. My favorite titles are Lulua and the other Mysterious games including Sophie's sequel.
>>720318054Everyone says it. I don't get it. I like resident evil games with resource management. But for JRPGs, I just want to take my time and see everything without having to restart the game.
fun with the limited time games is there's a lot more planning/strategy involved and you'll probably end up with the normal ending, then start right over with a fastforward button and new game plus stuff that should make your next run a breeze. shit also got portioned out better so there was new stuff to discover by taking alternate routes, now it's all just take your time and don't worry you'll see 100% of the content anyway. less stressful but takes every ounce of strategy out of things. making gamebreaking ultimate equipment really isn't an achievement anymore.
Firis a best in her trilogy
>>720320707Sorry to hear that. For me, the characters are a large part of what makes an Atelier game enjoyable for me, and I find myself getting attached to over 50% of the characters from Arland games whereas most other entries I end up liking maybe 3 characters at most. Of course this is a subjective point, but I just couldn't bring myself to play Ryza 3 since I didn't give a shit about the characters the first 2 times, so why would I play a game with them a 3rd time? Plus Ryza's design in the 3rd game is kinda shit.I can understand being stressed out at time limits, but honestly the Arland time limits are pretty lenient, making it very easy to at least get the normal endings on a blind playthrough. You really have to intentionally try to play bad to get any of the bad endings. Time limits are just there to make resource gathering and spending feel like they actually have a point. At the very least, I wish games without time limits had a higher difficulty. Even on hard mode when playing recent titles, I find myself almost never having to make anything to play through the story beyond some low effort bombs and the game's designated AoE medicine. If I'm going to have all the time in the world to play through the game, give me a good reason to stand in front of my cauldron every now and then before the postgame.
I feel like the issue with the time limit is that some people don't like the idea of replaying an entire JRPG over again. If it were a shorter experience, like a roguelike, I'm sure people would love doing individual runs that only last a few hours at most.
>>720320791Right.
>>720323039yeah that was a huge factor in why it took me so long to try them out at first. turns out they're neither hard to beat nor very long so getting to do a second attempt with perks and prior knowledge lets you feel like you're acing this now. and anyone who's fine with just the normal ending could just stop after #1 if they wanted. Persona is worse with being 5 times as long and first run you'll inevitably leave 90% of social links and sidequests unfinished since you need to max out the personal stats first.
i love firis (the game and also the representation of the person) so much its unreal
>>720323749I like her game. It's not my favorite game in the Mysterious series but it's not a bad game or anything.
I have tried playing the games in these series multiple times and every time I am so fucking bored I just stop
>>720323039the thing is you can skip all the cutscenes, significantly cutting down the length of the game. The beginning can still be a bit dull since there's usually very little choices to make in the gameplay.
>>720325014They aren't for everyone, Atelier games are slow RPGs where you really have to enjoy the alchemy (crafting), alchemy is the meat and potatoes in most Atelier games.
>>720324950it is my favorite in the whole franchise. second is meruru for me.
>>720320259>wise>noble>lady>Blushes and crumbles into dorkAh, I see now.
>>720320259You just know she's a closet perv
>>720326678She eats a truth mushroom in Meruru and the worst she admits to is wanting to bathe naked with Totori.
>>720326045Who said what about her butt?
Mimi is so pretty.
>>720327936>Firis will eventually settle down with Ilmeria and they'll run their atelier togetherLittle do they know Liane will be living under the bed.
>>720326960Melvia flipped her skirt and said she has a nice ass
>>720328086Heh, yeah.>>720328180Okay, this made me laugh :D
Butt.
>>720328596>ButtSlut
Procreation with the mentally impaired
Firis wearing a Plachta cosplay.
Blue Reflection was greatBlue Reflection 2 was ok I guessI hope they let him make another game
>>720330079Not a Blue Reflection thread but I guess it's on topic in a way...Atelier is developed by Gust.
>>720324950 Firis felt like the most "adventure" an Atelier game ever got. The open world travel, the license exam pressure, and her whole learning journey made it hit harder for me than most. Atelier games usually vibe in one town with dailies but Firis actually gets to explore, fail, grow. It's got rough edges but there's something charming about how ambitious it was compared to Sophie or Lydie & Suelle.
>>720319946>TexansWhat did I miss?t. Texan
>>720330334Yeah. Atelier Sophie is a little better in my opinion but I also like Atelier Firis...I never played Atelier Sophie 2 because it doesn't have English voices.
>>720330334I felt more of an adventure with Totori.
>>720330918>because it doesn't have English voicesBest decision KT ever made with the series.
>>720330382>What did I miss?A lot, probably.
>>720317495>>720317927>>720318054Firis did the time limits the best of all the games. Have it st the start to get you chugging along, then kick it once the main plot is done so you can do post-game at your own pace. I'd even take it a step further and have the game start with no time limit, have one implemented partway in, then get rid of it again at the end.
>>720332721I wish there were more events in the part with the time limit, 90% of them is gated to the post-exam part and thus the first section of the game feels pretty barren in terms of character interactions.
>>720332940its surprising how much you can actually do pre exam if you stick around some places. for example; my last playthrough i did a lot of Ren's quest "early"
>>720322926I actually failed Totori the first time around cause I made all the boat parts, and was waiting for this motherfucker to tell me it was time to ship out. I talked to him multiple times, but nothing happened so figured it was a timed event. Didn't realize I needed the parts in my pocket and having them sitting in my chest wasn't enough until it was too late.
and remember, her surname is Mistlewd.
>>720333485I failed Totori the first time around because I spent almost a year building the highest quality planks I could because with everyone scared about what would happen to her and I didnt want her to die.
>>720329479Rorona isn't fit to be a mother.
>>720333689Ilmeria is so lucky.
>>720316492I love bras like you have no idea
>>720333689I don't like how Firis looks in this fan art but anyway.
>>720334215Thirsty ojou.
>>720334215She really is.
>>720334573I'm not a pedo, but this is the sexiest loli I've ever seen in a videogame.
>>720334573Would you let your 11-year-old daughter walk around town alone dressed like this?
>>720334573>>720334621Mea Holthaus, a character in Atelier Firis. According to the wiki she's 12 and yeah, she looks and sounds younger than Firis, it must be true. She really has brown skin, other characters clearly have paler skin.
>>720334573I gotta replay Firis someday.Did the DX/PC versions add anything?I only finished it on PS4. Nearly a decade ago.
>>720334943Firis gets a bulldozer.
i dont call it 'Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Little Girls' for no reason.
>>720334257Oh yeah?A lot of people would say that they are great as fanservice but the same thing could be said for panties...panties and bras, the two sacred treasures...or something.
>>720334984What the fuck?Is she not satisfied with just melting the polar caps? What terror has Sophie unleashed upon the world.
>>720335098Alchemists have no sense of right or wrong.
>>720334621
>>720335098It's just one of the new things you can make with alchemy, the story doesn't imply that it's thanks to Sophie, Firis herself comes up with the recipes or new things you can make.
>>720334943it did! the big draw is of course that all the dlc is included but as a bonus palmyra gets a new super form to die over and over to.
Based firis thread.
>>720334943firis gets a bunch of dumb vehiclesthey added a single one time source of the giga trait you normally only get for 100%ing the library so you can actually use it for stuff now without having already finished everything.
>>720335295>dumbDon't call the bulldozer dumb, Firis got certified to handle those and you should respect heavy machinery.
>>720335371I don't believe she's certified at all. She just does all of her bulldozing out of sight of any OSHA inspectors
>>720335436Nonsense, an alchemy license comes with a license to operate heavy machinery, use of explosives, manufacturing and dispensing of medicine, and many other things.
>>720334943what are you talking about "a decade" the game is only... oh no
>>720335551Almost 9 years since its release in Japan.
I never played her game but when i played Lydie and Sullie I hated Firis because she always had to be the center of attention
>>720319184Terrible feet TERRIBLE
>>720335176She opened the cave, unleashing a cute of mass destruction upon the world.>>720335282>>720335295Alright, now I'm convinced. I loved Palmyra and those elemental girls.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z2ATyg74QyQhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QS1CwpywrI0Did Sophie's game get the same treatment? I'm guessing more stuff to dress Plachta in?
>>720335884Yes, with the exception of Atelier Sophie 2, all the Mysterious games have a ''DX'' edtion which inclues at least most of the DLC and also offer new features or content that the vanilla version doesn't have even if you get all the DLC.
>>720335884here's a list of plachta costumesI know the entire top row was base game but I'm not sure how much of the bottom row was.
>>720336010does a doll really need as ass that phat?
>>720335285Most Atelier threads focus on Ryza, Sophie, Lila Decyrus, Yumia, Totori and whatever is the most recent game at that point, a thread that puts Firis in the spotlight is kind of rare.
>>720335875It's art by NOCO or Yuugen.
>>720336010>Christmas & Gust outfit makes her look pregnant.
>>720316492rorona was my first (and only) atelier gamewas pretty fun, a bit tedious. also the alternative ending felt very convoluted; i bet i missed lots of content by not replaying?how would you continue after that one?
>>720333989She has a daughter in Atelier Lulua, an adoptive daughter at least.
>>720337319Totori is the direct sequel, so that one.
>>720335884heed my warning about palmyra. she gets stronger everytime you win, to an absurd level. my picrel was +6 or +7 and i could never beat her again. maybe cheeze builds could do it but i dont believe anything legit can.
>>720337585>maybe cheeze builds could do it but i dont believe anything legit can.If you can do it with alchemy, it's legit.
>>720337971haha, true.
Firis is the fattest atelier protag.
>>720335551>>720335661Honestly, not that shocking to me. Any pre-Ryza Atelier you could tell me it is 20 years old and I'd believe you. Take this statement as you will.
>>720338464Firis understands you gotta eat big to get big.SIX SCOOPS CMON
>>720335048I have lost so much seed to this pic...
>>720338051(Me)for real tho. i remember taking this and i still lost this one.
Why is she like this?
>>720338728I don't know if you're the same person who said ''I love bras'' but I believe you.
>>720339272Alchemist. There are no sane alchemists.
>>720339324Do alchemists have a sense of right or wrong?
>>720339529Atomina and Meklet are only portrayed as evil in Atelier Sophie, they are the antagonists in the first Mysterious game and it's not like ''they have a point'' or ''they aren't doing anything wrong'', so yes. Alchemists can have a sense of right or wrong.
>>720335884Palmyra?
>>720338464>>720338674She has bigger breasts than the other protagonists in the Mysterious games.
>>720334316>>720334494I never realized how big Il's Ils are.
>>720340591Her boobs are bigger in Lydie & Suelle apparently, she developed for the sequel.
>>720319801Is this older Ilmeria? I swear she doesn't appear again.
>>720341259It is. Older Ilmeria only appears in Atelier Lydie & Suelle.
>>720341356Need Mysterious 5. Atelier Ilmeria: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Homosexual Fantasies
>>720334621Lolicons are not pedos
>>720326463>doesn't get it at all
>>720316492I still don't understand why escha and logy were in her game
>>720333849I get that male characters are gonna be ranked low, but how can anyone possibly dislike Felt? The dude has like zero unlikable attributes.Hell, how is Iris from Iris 3, the most hated game in existence, ranked higher than Viese? wtf is even going on here?
>>720334943they added 2 new playable characters, a cute girl with a spear and some boy who wants to date firis.
Resleriana soon. Gotta get that early purchase outfit. It's sex.
>>720345725Why do they hate Totori now?
>>720344856Logy appears in Atelier Sophie, but in the case of younger Escha...I guess they wanted to put those two characters in the same game (again) just because.
>>720345725Season pass swimsuits.
>>720344856Why not? If Hagel and Pamela can do it Escha and Logy can too!
>>720347065Hagel has the power of bald which lets him do anything he wants.Pamela is a ghost, and so she can't be restrained by things like series. What do Escha and Logy have?
>>720347113The worst game.
>>720347065Hagel and Pamela are special and a tradition. Escha and Logy are just some shitty forced romance characters.
>>720345979I wouldn't say that they hate Totori, if that were the case, she wouldn't even appear in the next game and especially not with a new swimsuit as part of the season pass. If we want to mention Arland characters that they ''hate'', those characters would be Mimi and Cordelia, they don't appear in the next game, probably.
>>720347113honeymoon
I'm playing E&L for the first time as we speak. I hate how I'm completing finishing my assignments in the first 50% of every term leaving me with over 50% of the term to try to find dumb ways to pass the time.At least Lucille is cute.
>>720335148Salt loli is just cute.
>>720346887Season pass more like hard pass on this entire game, and that doesn't cost anything.
Plapta
>>720345725>>720346887Yuritroons can't stop losing, Yumia and now this
>>720345725Is this game even likely to be good?
>>720335148>Ayesha fucked this and added her to the harem
>>720348167That's pretty much how every time limit in atelier works. Dunno why people get buttmad when games skip that shit.
>>720348167I spam rested the last like 50 fays or something. E&L were really bad about the length.>>720351948The ones with a single long time limit weren't like this at all. You always felt like you could squeeze in just a little more.
>>720316492I look like this (when I'm wearing girl's clothes).
>>720351948nah E&L absolutely fucked up the time limits worse than any other game. with Rorona/Meruru you always had things you needed to be doing, so even if you finished your mission early you'd still have use for your leftover time, but in E&L it was possible to legitimately be done with everything worth doing two weeks early every single season. no other atelier game has you going to bed for weeks at a time as regularly as E&L.
>>720348075Cordelia really got screwed over by GUST. Mimi functionally replaces her and makes Cordelia's only relevant scenes after Rorona being the ones where she interacts with Mimi as a mentor. Speaking of characters they hate though, they completely forgot Lionela and Tantris existed.
>>720317495Pussy.
>>720316492shame about her game though. love time limit games, but i bounced off of Firis hard, it was even more boring than the no time limit games for me. The "journey" setting kind of fucked up all the fun SoL you normally get from the series, making every scene about just Firis and her Sister. there wasn't any comfy town SoL because every event had to begin with the justification that whatever party member just happened to be passing by wherever you were when the event triggered.
>>720339324It's them mercury vapors.
>>720354326>Speaking of characters they hate though, they completely forgot Lionela and Tantris existed. How about Lulua? She never even got into the gacha.
>>720354326Lionela was back in Lulua. Just as a quest NPC, but better than nothing.
>>720357923eh, i think Lulua's version of Lionela does her a disservice so nothing might've been better. she got demoted to just another town milf all the dads like to ogle. She doesn't even have schizophrenia that she channels through her puppets anymore.
*ahem*Lulua!!!
>>720360079I'll never forgive her for toying with Refle's heart.
They're re-releasing Resler's game after shutting it down? What's going on?
>>720360219The mobile game is still ongoing in Japan. The upcoming console game is a separate story set in the same universe. Obviously it's also a real game rather than free to play gacha.
>>720360079is the worst Atelier game! even worse than Yumia!Lulua is shit! SHIT!
