it's okay I guess. Good gameplay but if you fail to get any weapons enemies can start to feel a bit too tanky. And some of the bosses are a bit too simple to require you to hit them for 5 minutes to kill. It's very noticeable if you try to do the post game stuff but just playing until the final boss isn't that bad.
Also pretty dumb that to get the true ending you need to beat the game with all 4 of the base game characters. There's no indication this is progressing toward anything so if no one tells you about it you'll probably think there's only the 3 bad endings.

I really like Servants of the Dark. It has a lot of cool movement tech, branches out for a very open experience, and there are a lot of secrets and progression paths you can manage to claim early clever use of tricks or movement.

I dreamt about ZX3 today, how it would've been a perfect conclusion, how Elpis would return to redeem himself, and how everything would lead to Legends. Inti Creates had a fetish for the 'evil Sumeragi Gunvolt' concept that stemmed from their 'evil X' fetish they tried to do in Megaman Zero until Capcom forced them to go with Copy X. Gunvolt 2 was initially supposed to star Copen against evil GV, they teased it again in LAiX with Blade, then they kinda did it for real in GV3 with the Primal Dragon evolution. I played the game a couple months ago after all the updates and the only truly egregious pieces of missing content are that one demon lord who is in the CG at the start but never appears in the story, and the servant you go to to play online co-op which is STILL not out. Otherwise it felt like a pretty complete game with a decently sized map and a good number of abilities and bosses.
