>>720412689"Better" is pretty subjective. Like the other anon said, 1 is more like a "test" version while 2 is more of a "final" version. Thinking about it more, you might be better off with 1 first. Mechanically both are largely the same, but Termina is more "open-world" than 1 on top of being pretty cryptic at times. Learning the mechanics on top of learning 2's map at the same time (plus 2's save mechanic) might be frustrating.

>>720414232The only basic enemy that I actively avoid in the first game were the elite guards. The stuff you get in the introduction basically sets you for most of the game. The regular guards and other enemies found in the floors are all just a puzzle about which parts you should attack first. In Termina it feels like there's of enemies that you're not supposed to fight until you get 16 speed and another character. I don't even try fighting anything on the city or sewers without getting a gun first (to kill them before the battle) or having Abella or someone else to help me. You also become too strong after first Hexen and fighting enemies becomes a waste of time and resources
