It's wild how polarizing this game is. To me it feels like one of the best metroidvanias I've played, even when accounting for recency bias. The combat is so fun, the world layout is so much better than hollow knight.

I'll do 100%, or at least what's possible in my current save. But unless they make major changes I doubt I'll ever play it again. I'll still go back to Hollow Knight every few years though.

As people have said for years while Team Cherry stayed silent, they just kept adding more and more and more to the game to the point there's just too much.

I really want to be done with this game so I can move on to Daemon X Machina already so I can be done with that in time for Digimon and then Pokemon.

Map design isn't great. 50% of the game is Deepnest caverns. Every zone could have been much smaller.

Not OP. I decided to drop it today. I'm finally free, I can go play other vidya. I stopped enjoying it two days ago but finally made the decision today.
I still like the world and I like Hornet's gameplay more, but the enemies are just so terrible. They really shouldn't have made flying enemies so evasive, or they should have lowered their health. If tools were less limited, it would have solved it. The game seems to be designed around always using tools but never giving you enough to actually use them.
