>>720535301It's legitimately a very rich movie that benefits from multiple viewings that let you pick up more from it than you did the last and actually gets more compelling the more you understand of it. Every scene serves a particular purpose that adds to the themes it's aiming to explore. Its only serious fault IMO is the relatively weak ending sequence because of the way the whole segment with the second witch was cut down and rushed. It absolutely deserves to be seen as the peak of anime, and the only thing in that style that seriously surpasses it is parts of Sailor Moon.
